hi all,

Just wonder if your kids learn chinese outside their
schools. I am considering Kumon. Any other suggestion will be very much appreciated!!

The experience of my daughter :-

She started the beginner level and dropped it when she was tired of the reading comprehension levels.

Kumon Chinese is good for HY Pin Yin but the upper levels are too difficult for her after discussing with Kumon teacher. So she dropped it.

YauMum,

Can your daughter recogonize basic chinese words?
can she read the MTR station names?

I don't like Kumon's style of teaching but I do need everyday schedule for my girl. Headache!!

以下是本人在ＫＵＭＯＮ的経験：

ＫＵＭＯＮ　ＭＡＴＨＳ：女児讀了１年多、主要是補底、我覚得ＯＫ，算是達到基本要求、会継続、也養成了毎日一定要ＤＯ　ＨＯＭＥＷＯＲＫ的習慣。　　

ＫＵＭＯＮ　中文（普通話）：讀了９個月左右、停了。　　語言始終需要ＩＮＴＥＲＡＣＴＩＶＥ的、ＫＵＭＯＮ中不能達到這効果、主要是聴ＣＤ＆写、非常ＢＯＲＩＮＧ。　　所以現在選択了補習班、一対４左右、効果不錯。　　

不果我想強調自己如児是比較差的、所以以上都是補底作用、我知ＬＯＴＳ　ＯＦ　ＩＮＴＬ　ＳＣＨＯＯＬ　ＳＴＵＤＥＮＴＳ　ＧＯ　ＴＯ　陸陳、都幾谷、但小朋友接受到就ＯＫ　ＬＯＲ．

So it really depends on your expectations and what your child is like.

forget about Kumon, try Lukchan, which is much better.
