Have just attended the 2nd interview....shorter than I expected (10 mins).
Really interested to know how are they going to make the final decision......

10 rooms x 3 teachers @room x 6 sessions per hour x 2 hours (?) = 360 (Purely my wild guess)

Chance is not very high.......

First interview is one day, and second interview is one day, it seems the school finish the whole interview process so quick compare to some other school. (Just personal observation). Is there any reason behind?

I think more than 360 people. My friends just finished at 11:45. So should be at least 10 rooms *3*10 min *3 hours = 540people at least

No, I don't.....just my wild guess.....when I left at around 11:30.....not many candidates entering the school or walking uphill to the school...

I thought the headmaster would interview us....Anyway, this is their first year of 2-stage interview.....

Did you find that some parents did not take the interview very serious.....T-shirt, jeans......

The interview is quick and simple questions. Just do not how did they evaluate children

Also lots of parents and students are casual wearing sport shoes and T-shirt.

But just wonder if not interview by headmaster for standardization then different teachers have different standards.

If so, why don't just use the old approach and interview both students and parents on one day. Then it can even save more time.

Just wonder the headmaster delegate the whole interview selection process to teachers? Does anyone know this is also the same as the past?

10-min interview can only give the school a snapshot of the parents and the students......

From the teacher's information, there were ~600 children for 2nd interview.

If there are 30 teachers involved in second interview selection process, just wonder how to standardize the marks? Anyone can suggest?

If they have already picked the successful candidates, then can't see the points for picking so many in the second round.

So far, I am scratching head on their arrangement.

If like Kau Yan that has one interview only (arrrange from teachers) to select students, then I can understand that it saves time.

But if Raimondi plan to use second interview to select student, it can use a panel like DBS or other schools that is interview from headmistress or vice-headmistress. The point is that for final selection, the decision making should be a central body

But today interview seems that there are 30 teachers that is 30 selection body. So I don't really know how the measurement be standardized among all the candidates.

Besides, does any one watch the teachers refer some info to the application form or portfolio during interview. I can't see by the way and so I don't know is the portfolio useful in this case.

when I did my interview, I saw my portfolio was in the file. But during the interveiw process with the teachers, she did not refer to the portfolio.

Anyone has the same experience as mine ?

今日父母問題都好一般. 阿囡嗰part有考中文英文, 英文問: 今日星期幾;你平時鍾意做什麼;阿囡話鍾意畫畫同睇書;老師又追問鍾意畫什麼睇什麼...中文就一般自身問題同一條處境問題..三人共in了15分鍾到.

How long was your interview? In my case, 3 mins with parents and 5 minutes with my kid....
If they asked the kids in the 2nd interview again, what's the difference between the 1st and the 2nd then? What are the selection criteria then?
I hope my kid could get through......

- 2 English questions

- plus Chinese questions.
Surprisingly that they asked so much questions to kid in just few minutes.
My son can't tell all, but he is sure there were more than 10 questions.

I think that the portfolio may be used when they asked Kid to verify the answer.Say:
what's your daddy name?
what's you mommy name?
where do you live?
your school name?
(my son do told that they asked about simple questions.)

Again, I do think it is a bit strange to have second interview in this format. (My son mentioned that the 1st interview mainly involved doing some group/team game exercises...etc, 2nd interview focus on individual.)

O, seems that they hv asked your kids quite a lot of questions, they didn't ask my daughter to speak in Eng or Mandarin, just ask her what is her name and how old he is, follow by a picture to show what was the difference. Then ask her to sit on a chair for around 2 minutes with the other two applicants....

Raimondi is known as good at academic.

But these two interviews not ask too much about academic.

So still not know how to select finally.

If there is any Raimondi parents, can you tell the importance of portfolio or not

I think that, even as a raimondi parent also don't know their selection criteria. But I just have a feeling that they will focus on their school reports , which kindergarten come from and interview's performance.

I think the school interview arrangement is like this

1. First interview involve about 30 teachers so it takes one whole day to complete. (around 1200)

2. Second interview also involve about 30 teachers and takes half day to complete (around 600)

3. For fairness, the first interview and second interview would be different teachers to the children and parents.

4. The final mark will be base on first interview + second interview + other marks(religion, old boys, ECA)

I think same like many comments on the website - traditional school and very谷。 I just happen to have time to see the Chinese dictations - there is 背默，讀默 then unseen. For those in the text books, one wrong word is 5 marks deducted and unseen is 3 marks

Need to give them more fuoundation if being admitted
