CKY 1st interview ended today.  I guess we can discuss the questions.

Wow, I think it is quite difficult.  Acccording to my girl :

1. Learn a new song from an English teacher
2. "Simon says"
3.  Sporty game
4. Watch TV and then answer questions by raising hand
5. Chinese words match with picture

Seems not difficult, right?  Some more :

6. Read Chinese instruction to colour a picture
7. Listen to the teacher and circle the correct English word (e.g. had vs hat,  low vs no, jack vs jag)
8. Maths question (+ / -)
9. There is a triangle with 2 lines inside cutting it.  How many triangles are there in total?

Anyone can share more?

I thought CKY is very simple ,my daughter said that she likes the interview and never mention any more.So I'm not sure can she manage those difficult questions.

You know at the back of the game card, there are symbols 'A/O/D', I guess this is to mark the performance of the child for that game/quiz.

Anyone know what A/O/D stand for? We think one may mean below average, at level and another one is outstanding, but which one is which?

e.g.
A = average
O = outstanding
D = ??

or
A = advanced
O = ordinary
D = ??

Cannot guess what D means? Any one share their thoughts?

If this is to record the performance of the child for that game/quiz, the three words shall be of similar category but indicate different levels...anyway, hoihoima might be right. So,

Advanced/Ordinary/Decline?

I have asked her right after the interview. She said she got 1 with a circle over the A, 1 with a cross over the O. The others she did not notice!

That's why it has taken almost 2 hours.

Yes, I also think that I am getting crazy with this game. Glad that we can share and keep the crazy thinking and pressure to ourselves, not to our kids.

did any of your kids see what the teacher circle or wrote? my son told me that he noticed after the teacher check marked all his answer correct on the hand written exam then the teacher circled 'O' on his card. He didnt' see all the rest of the a or o or D. So i am guessing that O could mean something good..since he said he got all the answers correct on that part.... anyone got a clue...

首先聲明一點, 小兒下年也要考CKY, 公開試題,對我是有好處的.

但, 我想, 老師出題也是很辛苦的, 也不可能每一年也出新題目,在這裡公開, 好像不太好. 對其他不知道的不太公平.

對學校也不太尊重, 難道要逼所有家長簽保密協議?

The instruction was written in Chinese, not spoken by the teacher. When some kids said they didn't know how to read it by themselves, the teacher said they had to guess it by themselves! (That's what my girl told me .....)

Yes, actually parents will surely share the questions, no matter via BK or other channels. And I know that the schools will surely change the questions, although the format may be similar. So it won't be unfair to those taking the test next year.

And I guess the institutions that organise interview training courses may benefit a lot because they can then base on these to train the kids next year ........... :;pppp:

其實學校考嘅嘢好全面，對一個5、6歲小朋友而言，實在好難「貼」題目。
