When I had interviewed on Oct 8, I looked at the sheets that they posted, it has about 160 kids for interview that day.

I guess they have a 2nd round interview for the people who apply later.

St Johannes is all in English ga! They do have Mandarin lessons too. I called the school for few times and asked them about it, I make sure their English standard is good before I apply it.

我頭先打去問過,一班大約十幾人,2012-2013年的學費仲未出,不過今年半日班就$3460X12月再加$2850X2次雜費.個老師話將會有調整. 唔知會加幾多呢?

仲有,佢地話1星期會有兩三日學PHONICS同國語,不過無講會學幾多小時/分鐘.

各位家長如果八到其他料請上來報料吖.

頭先我去了聖若望，其實佢地真的比較low profile. 入去時個net 同我講左一輪，今年有四班k1,每班有15人左右！

你們會不會比留位費呀? 除非有好好的一條龍收，否則我都會選呢間，因英文強！

我應該會選St Johannes. 好似有間小學backup會好D.
但怕中文會好差.

SJC的好處是，
1 英數好
2 全日班
3 有小學backup, 但亦因爲有小學，佢唔會出ref letter
4 小班

其實封ref letter 吾會太重要, 我果660都係俾SJC , 至於York, 我吾知好吾好, 但SC媽媽叫我吾好讀York.話個cambridge 的成績對考小學吾係真係好重要, 只係好過冇.

SJC kindergarten 的小朋友升小學, 如果吾讀SJC, 吾知出去考學校的競爭力如何呢?

cain8l, I think if you want high profile school, then SJC may not suit you too.  Because the parents from SJ seems very low profile too.

I am choosing this school because their English standard, and the campus is quite good too.  The overall impression is good.  I don't know if I am right or wrong, but it is just my feeling.

I have visited few other KG too but I like SJ the best so far.  I will not trust all the info I get from others, because everyone's expectation is different.

老實講,開始有d 吾想In 其他, 因為SJC冇禁商業味重, 同埋無禁大壓力. 我係指家長之間要仔女做十項全能果種.或者要係其他家長面前show off自己個仔女幾叻.

我果日去staffxxxd interview, 見到一個家長, 在waiting room, 間房好大, 都要走埋我個女度, 玩緊我個女玩緊的玩具, 一齊玩我ok, 但係佢在我同我個女面前 show off, 問個女10樣生果, 個女用英文講出來, 識好多英文生字,好叻. 但係呀媽令人覺得佢要找人比較, show off.

我去SJC, 反而見到一個有小朋友讀緊的家長, 很有善, 連門口個嬸嬸見到我個女跌到, 即刻走來抱起佢.

另外,我已經give up Yxxk, 而staffxxxd 我都覺得太似Yxxk 都吾考慮啦.

3pigmama, when I had interview with Yxxk, did you see those parents dressed up very nicely, and some were mandarin speaking.

It is very different from SJC, I do not think the quality of SJC parents are bad, but I guess for those like to apply SJC, they are not that "show off" parents.  If they are, they will apply other high profile schools.

I also did not go to Staffxxd, because from their introductory program, the contents with Yxxk are the same.  Always emphasized how to build up their profolio......

I don't know, I just do not have very good feeling towards them.  I will give up Yxxk's offer too.

Another thing is they make the school  as whole day school instead of just having half day.  Schools will definitely make more money if they have both am and pm classes.  But SJC still prefers to do whole day school.  I am a fan of whole day school.......

Unless Pui Ching this kind of one dragon school accepts my girl, otherwise I will stick with SJC I guess.

Most of the teachers they can speak Cantonese in the interview day. But they only speak cantonese to the parents, not with the kids. That is just what i saw in the interview day.....

以下是本人最近去面試的經驗. (100%個人感受)

這天本來見中午, 去到學校大約有10個家庭在等候, 老師要求單獨帶小朋友去別課室一趟, 我觀察5個小朋友跟佢地走,回來5個都係兩行眼淚 (這點可以有好多因素), 我小b係第6個.

我當日人有三急,我好禮貌地問老師: 老師,唔好意思呀,請問有冇洗手間?

老師話: 哦, 我地d洗手間淨係for小朋友ga.

我回答: 哦, 唔該晒. 跟住我回座位.

過後15分鐘左右,小B話急小便,我就帶佢去,又問老師,請問洗手間喺邊呢? 我小朋友急想去.

老師話嗰邊, 跟住CALL個呀姐離跟實我地去, 仲要唔比山門,睇住我個女屙.!!!

我想問: 你咩料呀, 厠所相金呀!!! 洗唔洗咁呀!!!

我已經小滾. 不過算, 反正離到in埋先.

返到去, 坐咗一陣,有好幾個小朋友都喊緊, 我個女都話好驚猛拉我話要走. 我已經安撫佢話,好啦,唔見啦, 唔緊要啦..

咁老師又開始call人 (一家長一小朋友入去見), 即使你手上個b喊緊都要入去. 咁我先生就問老師可唔可以等陣先入下一輪. 其實因為小朋友喊緊,夾硬抱佢入去,咪會影響倒其他小朋友狀態囉.
個老師勁嚴肅話: 唔得, 學校規舉只可以一個家長帶入去.

喂! 你有冇聽清楚ga. 我地話小朋友可唔可以壓後一陣咋.

此時我已冇心機再in. 我同佢講. 『我唔in』走人.

一點愛心都睇唔到, 唔in 一D都唔可惜!

My elder girl is studying in SJC for K3 currently and my younger girl got accepted for K1 in 2012 Sept. Reason why SJC parents is so low profile is we don't really want to spread out good or bad on website..We are very neutral and open minded. We use our own eyes to see and experience how the good or bad of the school. If we are not satisfly we won't express on BK. We will inform the pricipal or school admin directly. They are very welcome to accept opinions and willing to improve themself.

We cann't say SJC is the best. We found this is a very balancing school. Everyschool must have their good side and bad side. For me, SJC match what my hansband and my need for our kids. eg. Small class size, English environment and tranditional.

我昨天都已收到信已收錄,但想再了解收費,我上網睇過,K1有上午班(53人)及全日(20人),K2有上午班(63人)及下午班(61人),但唔知點解到K3都有上午下午班,但只收9個人,而全日就收56個人...
