Phonics - more like a skill
Cambridge - test oriented, may have a handsome certificate

My son studied phonics first and very effective in unseen dictation.... Then, sit for Cambridge English Tests afterward, he did the exercises at home with my wife and we booked one-on-one English native speaker to drill his oral.

"one-on-one English native speaker to drill his oral." 我同意与其上什么文法, 操练班, 找一个Native Speaker train oral 的效果更好. 听得多, 说得多, 再配合学校教的文法, 已经很足够了.

For K1, phonics might be more suitable.

Phonics definitely more helpful for kid's learning. some kids faster, some kids slower, take time and patience as well as persistence. In the long run, outcome is good!

Cambridge test - no need to train the kid to attend the class, after finish school curriculum, go for it, it's a waste of money to take class.

先學Phonics 之後做Cambridge past paper.

其實2樣都吾需要出面學。自己真係無時間教，就選phonics出面學先，之後就自己買Cambridge past paper比小朋友多做就可以。

我同意。
phonics係英文學前教育，cambridge係一個綜合性學習，個性質有少少唔同。
個人都覺得phonics比較重要
