Hi, I am new tothis forum. We’re currently living in US and will be back to HK for good inDec. My bb was born in June 2010 so she’s qualify to attend N class next year. The problem is I just found out most of the N class has started theapplication/interview already. If we are coming back in Dec, is it too late toapply the N class for her? I am afraid all of the school will be full by Decand there’s no school going to accept my daughter. Any suggestion?

Hello littleape,

According to last year's experience, below are schools which will hold their interviews early next year:
1) Learning Habitat
http://www.learninghabitat.org
2) St Paul's Nursery
www.spn.edu.hk
3) Keenmind

Hope this helps~

You may also considered Victoria, which have campus in HK Island and Kowloon side. You can check their websites for more details, whether they accept overseas application now.

Thanks! How is of the quality of these schools? I know nothing about HK's kindergarten and feel overwhelmed about all the schools.
What's the difference between Pre-N class and playgroup? My daughter is going to a playgroup once a week here in US. They don't teach anything, but just singing and dancing in the class. Normally, the kids at this age here don't really follow the teacher.

playgroup - need parent accompany to attend (no restriction on age).  Mostly do singing, dancing like US
pre-n class - no parent attend, children need to reach 2yrs old.  will start to learn ABC or moral lesson, learn to queueing up, raise up hand ...

Thanks! I read some other post on this forum and got some of the idea on what’s the interview about. I am stunned by the questions a 1.5 year old kid. They ask about colors, match the shapes, need them to sit still for the story time... I don’t think my daughter can finish any of these, especially in front of a stranger. Does all the nursery school in HK have interview like this? Do they really expect the children to complete the tasks? I would be happy if my daughter doesn’t cry in front of the teacher already.
