我係新手媽媽, 過左DEADLINE先同亞女報SN, 佢地連報名費都唔收住, 話如果之後有得INTERVIEW先交返, 想問下SN 係咪年年都會IN埋D後備生架? 依家好內疚點解自己咁遲先知佢一早就要交表, 都唔知亞囡會唔會連INTERVIEW嘅機會都無

SN的老師很好, 很有耐性又有指示, 加上阿囝當日表現"神勇", 所以收了.

I am 0812 mother and my son is in SN K1 afternoon class!!

maybe our son are classmates??!!

i agree that the teacher in SN are all excellent !! that's why even they charge more than $3000 per month and we live quite far from the school, my hubby and I still choose this school!

don't worry , wingmanlam mama, SN will have second round interview for late application, just be patient la~~ my son's classmates was interviewed in December and also accepted.! ;)

for my son's class, putonghua three times a week and each lesson 40 mins,
and native english teacher's lesson everyday for 1 hour.
the class teacher does not teach in English, they speak Cantonese.

Yes! The teachers of SN are excellent! They are reallay patient to the kids and enjoy teaching.

Hi babemom! My boy is in N1C1, maybe our boys are classmates~haha

Yeah, I live far away from Kln Tong, too (TKO), but still think it's worthy to go to SN.

For the question St. Nicholas 教得深吾深, honestly, my boy didn't go to another school before, cannot compare. Juts give you some brief ideas below.

For K1 class, the english lessons start from alphabets and have phonics taught. We have readers of coz and also show and tell session. Shapes and colours are also taught in english. The school emphasize on readings a lot and encourage parents to read together with their baby as much as we can. They will have certificate if you completed certain level. However, some reading programmes are optional and need to pay extra money to join.

The Chinese lesssons starts from simple words, like 人, 口, 水.etc. Basically the chinese lessons use thematic approach. E.g. 上學了, 中秋節. The theme is coherent with the PTH lessons, which is a 20 mins session twice per week. Frankly, it's pretty difficult for my boy to catch up with the Chi syllabus, but he can recognize the words taught at school now.

For maths, I am not sure it was taught in English or Chinese, my boy knows how to count before go to school.

For homework, 2 page colouring or line tracing exercise daily now. Sometimes the exercise becomes 4 pages on holidays and weekend. The teacher are amazing that my boy know how to properly draw lines now. The homeworks are target to prepare the baby to write, not really writing words.

Regardings extra-curricular activities, courses are offered to both am and pm classes. However, no school bus service is arranged for those who come to school early or back home late. Some classes are arranged on Sat.

It sounds really great. I've been to the school campus when i handed in the form, I peeked into the classrooms near the reception office, the classrooms were quite nice and spacious.

btw, how many students in one class? and how many teacher in each class?

我都係過左9月7日先報,所以我交表時連$30都無收. 係有d唔開心, 不過我又覺得有機會既,唯有等.
同埋我仔而家讀緊家附近既pn班都好ok,所以就算佢真係唔收,我都唔太擔心.
你都唔好唔開心la, 要搵多幾間back up丫!

我之前都係miss 咗, 10月中才報名, 仲比職員話一早in 晒, 仲註冊埋, 好在大約11月會有兩個sat 去in 我哋d 後備生, 不過講明pm offer only, 好在學校收咗佢, 我同囡囡都十分喜歡學校, 仲比機會佢表演唱歌, 希望妳都可以入到呢間學校
