SPCC 新的幼稚園校長推薦計劃，有無家長已成功取得校長推薦？

You can read the website of SPCC. It is announced that only 1+ had been applied. So, these kids will be very high chance to get the offer as 7 places are reserved for them.

For others, it is difficult to seek for places. To my mind, it is not fair. Even though the kid is as smart as these kids, he/she cannot get in as the financial background of his/her family is a little good.

唉...如果正常的幼稚園,根本沒有可能符合推薦要求
看新聞說,要拿全級頭3名,幼稚園考試,一般幼稚園如果考試俾教育局知道,閙到飛起啦.

其實個計劃有冇講到家庭入息要幾多錢以下先可以合資格呀?
入左去又會唔會俾人label左係窮果班呢?

In the briefing, it is mentioned the income of family should be meet to get full subsidy.

i.e. should be lower than the base like $180,000/year (3 persons), $270,000/year (4 persons), etc.

我覺個計劃係gimmick 多d, $180,000/ yr 入息, 即$15,000 / mth, 甘的收入, 唔會讀吹谷型幼稚園, 即係果d學劵型幼稚園, 佢地通常無咩考試, 個個小朋友差唔多, 點樣睇到佢係唔係3甲以內.
希望e7個位唔會係內定位......

So, only 1+ kids had been applied.

I think that it may be unfair for other parents ( i.e. 17人爭一學額) who are really contribute the best effort to nurture their kids and are eager to seek for the offer from SPCC.

For kindergartens, it is no harm to nominate their students for seeking offer from SPCC, right?

報超級名校，一定要保持[平常心]。

2600 個小朋友申請，起碼有 2400 人接到同一封信，即 90% 相同際遇。

SPCC 舊年俾傳媒揾到 d 錢用得唔妥，又背住個[貴族學校]即名，今年新校長上任，點都要做 d 野出來。成個 briefing 用好多時間解釋哩個新 plan, 之后個 CFO 再講解個[資助] 計劃。解釋甘多，我都系覺得它依然是 [貴校]。

In my opinion, also, "ping sheung sum" la.

I agree with what other parents say here, it is more like a "marketing" strategy and ensure that people don't think / feel that SPCCPS is a noble school that those who are less financially privileged aren't able to get in.

It just makes them look good in the newspaper. They will definitely make a few being able to accept this offer, and you will definitely read that by reading the newspaper sooner or later... ha ha ha.

We all need to abide by whatever rules they set up!

spcc的網頁有計算器,自己輸入DATA,會計到結果的
而SPCC係會按結果,分全免,3/4免,半免,1/4免
都好公開的

我唔係咁睇，為宣傳而收七名家境不富裕、不能投放大量資源在孩子身上的家庭？若背景不夠競爭力，以成績而言，長遠來說，應該不會有優勢吧！再現實些，其實他們會否是學校的負擔呢？縱使如此，但學校依然推行此計劃，這証明了學校的情操，及為不富裕家庭開路，並提供資助。

據我所知，SPCC在名校中，已經不是太功利了，起碼不會為成績，而在市場以優厚條件招攬人才。

當然，小一剩餘的收生名額祇是買少見少了。

SPCC's offers of academic, sports and music scholarships are in fact the most generous among the top schools to attract those talented. The point is whether those being offered scholarship choose to enter SPCC or not.

個個都係搵頂級老師教課外活動/補習, 其他只佔小數, 個小朋友長遠黎睇,都唔係好事, 都唔夠競爭, 唔睇好

我反而覺得個計劃主要係為咗回應審計署之前那份直資報告.當然,唔排除亦真係有心協助來自低收入家庭但成績好的學生.但前者成份居多.

不過，如果講"考試"成績，又好難rank係咪頭3名，因為相信唔只3個小朋友攞滿分..

No matter what is the financial background of children, I think it is more fair to give equal chance for every applicant for seeking a place based on the performance (in the area of academy or sports, etc).

Now, only 1+ qualified applicants seek for 7 places, is this scheme fair to the others?

I know that we must accept the rule set by SPCC, but it is just like 6000,

In the briefing, the Principal seemed to mention this scheme to reflect "關愛" for low income family.

Indeed, the children who are qualified for this scheme can apply the SPCC through the normal channel. SPCC can asess them with taking consideration of Principal's recommendation. It is no need to set a separate scheme and quota.

For your information, each kindergarten can only nominate not more than 3 kids.

小曳人, 我開頭都以為如果成績好, 攞到幼稚園推薦就得. 但校長在簡介會講, 計劃係俾合資格攞到全額助學金入息家庭參加, 入息過左的, 就從正常途徑申請, 唔使用呢個計劃.

入息限額上面已有家長講左, 一般家庭都應該過左.

佢呢個幼稚園校長推薦計劃唔到我地參加架, 入息過曬, 你考第一都好, 都無資格參加. 要從正常途徑玩囉.

其實幼稚園校長根據咩可以決定推薦邊一個呢? 幼稚園又冇正式考試, 又冇全級分名次. 點樣先叫考第一呢? 校長又可以幫得邊一個呢? 就算有幸入到, 都未必有錢比補習費, 課外活動費, 等等. 不如spcc唔好轉dss, 咁咪人人有份, 又公平.

In the briefing, the Principal said that many additional subsidy like school bus (max. $20,000), lunch (max. $4,000), uniform (max $1600 or $2000), school books (max. $1600 or $2000),and free ECA, etc.

So, how lucky they are.
