2歲班即學前班(有d學校叫pre-nursery, 有d叫nursery, 學基叫playgroup), 唔一定要讀.
3歲班即以前k1, 一定要讀.

係呀, 所以我無諗過俾揀國際學校, 一來好似你咁話, 升到中學好難轉返普通學校, 二來學費貴好多

其實 N 班我想係揀屋企附近, 但就無得直升 K1~K3, 咁一年後又要辛苦幫佢揀幼稚園, 但如果揀有得直升的 N 班, 又唔多選揀.

My son is 2.5 yrs old now and I have been through quite a number of PN interviews with him last year.  Just want to share with you some of my thoughts towards those interview courses.
I'm not sure if those interview courses for young kids less than 2 are really useful.  The success/failure for PN interview really depends on the condition of the kids at that very moment during the interview.  Instead of wasting the money on those interview courses, we as parents should put more attention on our kids.  For example, understand more of his/her emotion, favourite, what can trigger him/her to speak/react more, his/her sleeping schedule (this is important since you have no choice on the time of interview.  If we are not so lucky and being schedule the interview time during our kids' normal napping time, we may have to alter a bit our children's schedule a few days before the interview in order to make sure he/she is well-rested before the interview).
Spend more time to search on BK forum what other mommies said about the "past ïnterview questions". Then you may prepare yourself and your kids on those.
Don't rely on those commerical interview courses.  Save up the money for better use.

有呀！其實所謂既面試班，唔係教佢應對，只係教一0的interview可能會遇到既task，我覺得都似playgroup，只不過係比較針對interview通常會遇到既問題。

Thanks for sharing your experience. How about your son? Still looking for PN now? How many kindergarten have you applied last year? I might apply 6-8 in case my son couldn't get a good result in the interviews.

Have you ever heard beekids(in Tsim Sha Tsui)? There's an interview course for nursery (baby born in 2010). It costs $3200 for 16hrs(4hrs for parents and 12hrs for kids). I'm not sure if it is worth or not. Any parents joined it or heard it?

I applied 9 schools in total. But then, we eventually attended 7 only. And among these 7 schools, we were lucky enough and got 5 offers eventually.
You may want to apply around 4-5 at least. The reason is that your kid may not perform as you expect during each interview. There could be other reasons that you may not be able to attend some interviews, for example, clash in interview time for some schools, illnesses, kid in a really bad mood and crying non-stop. It's good that you select 1-2 as trial for your kid before the interview dates of your dream schools, so that you will know how your kid will react during the trial and then prepare yourself and your kids for the real ones. Of course, every interview differs from each other, in terms of teachers, questions, the school environment, influence from the people around. In my case, my son performs better if the school has more cars for him to play before the interview. I still remembered in one of the interviews, there was no car or other toys at all but only some simple toy of buliding block which my son had no interest at all. Even worse, there were a lot of people waiting inside a room for an interview and the waiting time was around more than 30-45 minutes which made my son feel uneasy and annoyed. As a result, my son was crying and crying non-stop and did not even attend the actual interview.
Just some little tips for sharing. Wish you success in your upcoming challenges.

I think, those interview courses may give you some generic questions from each school. However, a better way to equip yourself and your kid is to play and spend more time with your kids and understand his/her strengths and weaknesses. During an interview, try to show the teachers how much your kids can do, even though he/she may not be able to answer all questions asked by the teachers.
Also, talk more to other mommies, especially those with previous experience in attending PN school interviews. Each may come across different situation and can give you some insights on how to deal with them.
Also, be prepared to other unexpected situation, such as, other kids crying during the interviews, or other kids fighting for toys with your kids, etc.

我0係網上見過一0的關於beekids既討論，話佢0地既班唔惦，價值都唔平，所以我就冇揀佢。因為我自己即將參加0個個只係250一堂，0甘我衡量過，即使上完堂發覺唔好，我都只係蝕少少錢。係呢﹖你icon幅相係咪你個仔﹖佢有0的似我個女成日去club house玩0個個朋友恆恆喎！你個仔係咪叫恆恆呀﹖

$250 only? Which organisation? Would you mind to give me the organisation's contact? Yup, he is my son but he is not the boy you mentioned. We seldom go to the club house. Are you a full-time mummy or working? Hope to meet you in the club house next time.

Thanks a lot!! There's an interview speech organised by the Bee Kids on 1st Sep. I can forward you the details if you interest. But the fee is $200. btw, do you know when we can download the application form for St Cat PN (2012-2013)? in early Sep.? I called the staff. The lady said it's end of Aug. However, I just checked the webiste but nothing there.

Called St Catherine today...I asked them when I can apply for 2012/2013...she said in Dec - details to be released later. I asked if its guaranteed that PN students will be admitted to their K1......the staff said "unsure" and "ask me to check the details when more information is available".
I thought initially they did say that PN students will automatically go to their K2 in KLN Tong - so I assume that all PN students will be automatically admitted to St Catherine kindergarten.
Anyone know?

I asked the staff who picked up the call...that's what she said to me and I was totally shocked as I thought I read somewhere that it is guaranteed. She did tell me to check when more information are released and available online later...:;pppp:

Agree, if not automatically admitted then will probably just find a pre-nursery nearby home....

Maybe first batch (those admitted in Aug 2011) are guaranteed admittance to K1, but they haven't decide whether it will be an automatic progression later on or whether they will not take all their PN students to their K1/K2.....

我之前都係佢地website見過話n1可以直升k1, 不過可能只限今年n1的學生, 下年轉policy都唔出其. 佢地唔憂無人報.

I also asked...they say depends on the child's capability so in another words I think they take 'small b' too.
