KGV and Shatin College, which one is better ? Any thoughts ?

Both are good enough. Seriously, anyone who for some reasons thinks his/her child needs/deserves the best/better school is subjecting himself/herself and the child to a stupid rat race. Good enough is good enough is good enough.

My personal choice is KGV however there is a
long waiting list, and some years do not accept
new applications.

If you plan to study U overseas, KGV is the choice without doubt.

I will go for KGV but the Island schools are good as well. So if one of these schools accept my child I will celebrate.

KGV is the only ESF secondary school in Kowloon and I like their spacious site. Secondly their IB Diploma results are good every year and academically they have a good reputation. The IB Diploma results for this academic year which students received on Wednesday 6 July. These results demonstrate an outstanding achievement and in all the key indicators there is an improvement in the results. The average points score now represents 34.8.
“Two students received the maximum 45/45 (less than 1% of students around the world obtain this score) and four obtained 44/45.”
Also there are all kinds of sports to choose from and that will benefit sporty students. They are a long established school with a good reputation and they are looking to the future by building a new Science Block and a new Performing Arts Block and they should open these new buildings in 2013. The existing swimming pool will also be refurbished or redeveloped to ensure it can be used throughout the year and will be appropriately shaded during the summer.
It is purely a personal choice.

If you live in Kowloon, KGV is an obvious choice.

Are the two with IB full score are from KGV? If so, that's great.

If disregarding the living zone, how would be the ranking? I really want to know which one to choose disregarding the living area. Thanks.
