其實比小朋友入約克，也是想好好的裝備他，就算真的入不到心儀小學，最少將來讀小一也不會追到好吃力。

多謝 ! 我沒有其他小朋友讀St Paul .因我由K1-U3都寫信 ,而表姐係畢業生 ,所以可以帶她去參加活動 ,當時St Paul 係8月中才至電話比我 ,話有位 ,但我已派協恩 ,所以放棄 !

as I know my son's classmates got the below offer:
SFA, APS, YING WA, 沙呂, TSL

My friend's son got into Alliance this year.
After 3 yrs at York, her comments was:
- lots of homework in K3/U3 but you are really preparing him for P1
- English is good
- yes, needs to pay but it is also because they are offering you lots of different courses at York. If you don't join, then no need to pay
- she is very happy because her son got into a good band 1 school
- if you have better offers (like ST.Cat), then take it. If not, York is not bad. You can't compare it to Cannan or Creative as totally different expectations
- Both sons (U3 & PN) are very happy at school and the teachers are really caring

我媽媽昨日同佢朋友傾開，話朋友個孫考到聖方濟各，但大抽獎抽到喇沙，原來個小朋友都係讀ＹＯＲＫ的
唔知其他Ｕ３小朋友今年多數去邊？

thanks for your detail information. My son will have PN this Aug, I am quite worry if it is too pushy and has a lot of homework to do, esp. the Principal mentioned in the seminar before interview about Cambridge Starter Course (but didn't mentioned it needs to be paid separately, but gave us an impression, that it is covered in K1 to K3 curriculum), and Maths one, sounds too harsh for K3 to get good results for Cambrider starter...
so worry a lot and if it is too harsh and too much homework, my son who is active, may not willing to do the homework, and won't have happy school life.
I don't want to push him too much as he is only 2 Yr old. But as he speaks very little, even now, and didn't respond to interviewers at that time, so we can only get pm offers for some schools (but kiced out those using mother language). And we are so happy to get an offer from York as it is my 2nd choice (1st is HKPS, but too many competitors)
If I can get am offer, that will be perfect, as he got used to have morning language and music classes in the morning and sleeps from 3 to 5 pm.
Since 1st June, we try to change his daily time schedule, force him to sleep at 10 pm (but he won't sleep until 11 pm or 11:30 pm), wake up at 8 am, then force him to go to back at 10:30 to 12:00 noon (but fails, he will sleep from 11:30, 12:30 or even 1:00 am and need 1.5 hr sleep), then have lunch and have his 2 hr class in the afternoon, and have nap from 5 pm to 7 pm after classes.
He feels so tired after class and cries always and in bad temper these days, as we force him to sleep early at 10:30 am, and 10 pm at night, and after having only 1.5 hr sleep in daytime twice are not enough, so he cries always, makes me feel so guility that I can find an am offer for him....but no way, even I try to call York several times and apply in writing to change to am class once I got the their offer, no change to change to am class....really don't want to see my son crying everything, as he is tired and cannot adapt to new time schedule though we try for 17 days already.
Should I let him sleep at 10 pm and let him wake up late at 9 am or 10 am, so he wont' have nap in daytime (don't know if he can stand for 8 hrs without sleeping but go to pm class), and sleep for 2 yrs after back to home after school.
Some told me there wil be big chance to change to am class in K1, is it true? But if he adapts to pm class schedule, then go back to am class, he has to adapt the new time schedule again...but yet worth as more time to do some classes on weekdays afternoon after he have lunch after school and have nap, easier to arrange the time.
So worry if he can adapt the pm time schedule as there is only less than 2 mths left before PN starts on 9 Aug. Touchwood, if he feels tired in school, he will be in very bad temper and throw away things and scream and cry a lot...so worry about him.

Hi momo627,
I think you don't to worry too much as the children will adjust. Many of my friends had the same worries, but after about a month, they'll adjust.
My son is also not very attentive but after another year at York I'm satisfied with his progress and despite still can't sit all the time, he has learnt a lot of things. And he is not afraid to speak English to foreigners.
I didn't find a lot of homeworks for PN (colorings) and K1 (colorings n writing in 2nd semester). And the homework is only 1-2 pages, so it's easily done within 5 mins.

sorry for my late reply. i just recently have time to check Baby Kingdom. My son is studying York PM Class. He previously had huge problem with no after nap. Even the teacher said 'he's out of control.' my children took my genes - wake up early, so, definitely not work making him sleep late. my solution now is working for my son. Perhaps you can take reference:
wake up at 6.30am or even earlier - because he has a sister attending primary school, so, it's very easy for him to wake up at this time.
have lunch at 1045
go to bed at 1110am
wake up at 1245
school bus aboard at 1250
so far, the teacher said great improvement in his self control and temper.
