從今個星期六起一連三集講新高中的問題，是在某收費電視播放，有興趣找些時間看看。

網上已經有得睇第一集，可惜要看完廣告才有得看，有興趣自已去看看吧

第一集以講出了新高中制度下，為何學生要在暑假返學，我仔仔學校也要提早返學補課。

This TV program is very good, telling clearly the broader and higher requirements of the new 334 system. I think it will be better if students have one more year to learn.

我都覺得新高中原意是好的，只是課程和另類學習時數太多，得兩年半時間是不足夠，所以學生要暑假返學補課。
還有兩集，要看看還有什麼有用資料。

Last year, my family worried about Liberal Study and questioned the assessment method and subjective grading method. After a year, the problems are still exist and become more and more examination driven.

After watching the 3 shows, we feel better or worse about NSS/HKDSE?

My two cents:

1. The basic curricullum is fine and steer to a more reasonable direction in secondary education;

2. LS maintains compulsory and but no need to be examined, just pass or fail or like OLE, count hours or projects. Reduce the assessment pressure.......

3. Another wave of impact is the downgrade of university graduates, particulaly in professional programs. The professional bodies may question the graduates' academic and professional standards. one more year, most focused on general studies and the credits for major electives are decreased.......

4. Why the regular teaching hours are not enough for most subjects? Student qualitiy, standard of subjects (the standard may be closer to HKALE and not the HKCEE, more students drop out from the schools) .........

點解要必修。如果係好嘅,自然多人讀,不用強制。不要把這科定位作為認識自己國家的科目之一,因大家覺得這科不濟時,也就不會認同當中的内容,只會訴説國家的不是。

Be pragmatic.

I assume most students, parents and educators are "short sighted", not compulsory, no one will take it, not the program is good or bad. The same for Chinese, English and Maths....

Kids want to study less and get a pass or get into university is their untimate objective. Teachers teach less and students can get a pass or get into university and attract more Band-1 students.......

I also think that LS should only be taken as OLE. Exam will violate the original purpose of studying LS.
