Hello, I spoke to a teacher during registration. She said French or Spanish class is a kind of interest group and teaching from beginner level. The purpose is to see if your daughter is interested in those foreign languages and take up courses later in every Saturday morning.

Could I know the official schooling time for my daughter? I know that it is different for winter and summer? And from what date it becomes winter time and summer time?

as according to my girl's student handbook :

summer time table : 0800 - 1320

winter time table : 0805 - 1610

1/9 - 10/9 ~ stt

13/9 - 13/5 ~ wtt

16/5 - 13/7 ~ stt

Hello Rattie,

May I ask whether the school allow student dine outside? Is there any canteen in the school?

Also, we are so interest in the shoes. However I have checked with Dr. X shoes shop, they sell of it with the largest size 36 only, I guess my daughter need to buy 37 this year.  Do you know whether this shoes can be bought easily at the other shops?

I got the same answer from the teacher on the registration date also.  It seems that not much student chose French/Spanish as the 1st priority of the interest class when I regist.

all SPCS students are allowed to dine outside or bring their own lunches.  lunch break usually from 12 to 1pm.  no lunch box arrangements offered by school.

this is where I bought school uniform and shoes last year :
Joseph Embroidering Enterprises Co Ltd
2/F., Kwong Ah Bldg, 114 Thomson Road, Wan Chai  2575 0592 (right next to Hennessy Gov't Primary School)
- S1 shoes at $180
- school shirt, skirt & tie
but I know there are also shops near the school selling these stuffs too.

is your girl excited in studying at SPCS? does she have any classmates/friends coming too?

thanks again for your kind response.  I have record the address for shoes and uniform.

Yes, my daughter is excited for SPCS. She has two school friends and two other friends also admitted, so she is very eager to studying there.

Thanks and can I know the full names of the books for English and Maths for our F.1 girls as I want to buy them for my daughter. As you may know, after the final exam, she seems to enter into the early summer holiday and has a lot of spare time at home!

Is the school follow IB education?

You can choose IB or NSS when you are in F.5. They are studying IGCSE when they are in F.3

咩書都可以 ～ 故事性或非故事性，重要嘅唔係邊本書，而係你個 report present 成點，老師問問題時答成點。

Hi Rattie,

Could you kindly tell how is the students be allocated to different classes in S1?  What are the classes?

The classes are S, T, P, A, U, L.  They usually put a majority of outsiders into one class which mixes with a few girls from SPCSPS.  It is possible that the designation of this class varies every year.  The rest of the outsiders will then be allocated into the other 2 - 3 classes.

I heard that there is one elite class and one class with good English standard.  Is it right?  Do you know on what basis for the class allocation?  Base on HKAT result only?

basis for the class allocation?  ~ guess only the school can tell.
