I heard Kau Yan in High Street is a very good school but there are a lot of parents didn't accept its P1 offers. Any comments from parents (teachers/students/activities/school management/Language/homework load/lunch......)? Thanks!

我姪女讀緊 p1, 我只係知普教中文, p1-p2 冇考試, 只得評估.

Kau Yan is a very good school on its own in many aspects. The only disadvantage, which unfortunately is an important one to us, is that it does not have a through-train secondary school. About 30% of P6 can advance to 匯基書院 in Tseung Kwan O, and the rest will have to find other secondary schools.

Thanks!!! Does your niece enjoy school life? How do the parents think about it (easy to get to know other parents? play with other classmates outside of school?) Do they feel like the kid is learning and improving? Thanks again!

Would you mind telling me about the interview? Group? story telling? toys/games? Did your child do the interview on the first or second day? Did it matter? Thanks!!

I don't remember the content exactly, but it was a very relaxed and cheerful time and all the children put on a smile on their face when they joined the parents in the playground. We did not even prepare anything with my child except assuring him that it would be a pleasant and relaxed experience.

Originally I selected the 2nd day to avoid clashing with other interviews, but I ended up changing to the 1st day as the 2nd day clashed with RC's interview and the 1st day was free for my child. There should be no difference between these days.

Just imagine, a school of this kind will not make your child feel tense, both during the interview and when the child is their student.

我姪女係幼稚園直上的, 所以唔洗再 interview. 我問過佢, 佢都好開心, 可能好多同學都識的, 我只記得我姪女話好鍾意默書囉.

Don't miss the P1 admission briefing this year. I vaguely remember that they organised 3 or 4 sessions on different dates and I just needed to call them to make a reservation (all sessions were full!). Details will be released in their web site some time in June.
