If both CDNIS & GSIS accepted, how will you choose?

I prefer GSIS, but it's just personal preference.

Your kid got the offer? wow! congra!

These two are my target too. If I were you, I will choose GSIS.

This is a difficult call.  Both are good schools.  Chinese is taught at CDNIS kinder but not GSIS.  However GSIS has excellent academic results and the kids seemed quite disciplined.  May be just choose one close to your home? or ask your kid which one does he lilke?

I would vote for GSIS. Although they start Chinese pretty late, their Putonghua is actually not bad at all. Plus, they know German and it's definitely a more 'prestige' school.

congratulations!!! those are my list too. if i were you, i vote GSIS, despite there is no Chinese until P3, GSIS is more discipline and stronger academic result.

Our case was similar, 3 years ago.
My son got accepted by both GSIS and CDNIS, he even got a scholarship from CDNIS.
We chose GSIS, although my son's best friend was studying in CDNIS. He loves GSIS a lot and we are glad that we made the right choice.
It seems GSIS is having higher academic standard than CDNIS? Heard that CDNIS primary is good, but secondary is not that good?

One more point to add.

For Chinese, GSIS is offering Chinese twice a week only starting from Year 4. Definitely you have to supplement Chinese tutorials for your kid.
However, if your kid can enter the advance class for Chinese in Year 7, the standard would be very high. Cos the advance class is mostly composed of local school students (GSIS will add one class in Year 7, most of the students come from elite local schools, some from SIS), and they are using the textbooks from Beijing at Year 4 level, which is very high standard.
I'm hoping my son can enter that class......

I found German an advantage too! (Originally I thought it's a 'burden' or challenge when we joined GSIS)
Cos we can consider sending my son to Germany for further study. One more option to UK and US.
And, the fee for universities in Germany is very low! Yet, I think their quality is good esp in Science, Engineering, etc ?
