最後既重頭學校(spk)都放埋榜, 有無人會因孩子收左spk offer而放棄自己已有既offer?

我覺得大部份都會, 咁遲報名都一樣有人去排隊. 反而我想知有無人有SPK offer 都唔去讀...可能係入 IS 掛....

無一間學校會係最好嘅學校，只有最適合自己小朋友嘅學校(父母認為)…
如果有"最好"的學校，呢間學校一定會所有人都去考，但其實有好多人都冇考(我指係香港區同九龍區住的)…在冇去考的人心目中，spk一定唔係最好…

if compare HY and SPK, i think the big diffence is the path to K1. It seems SPK is more secure than HY since HY need to draw the central allocation, right? Besides, SPK seems a higher grading than HY???

exactly our daughter's case. Not given up yet.. but struggling between spk & the internationl sch that my elder daughter is studying at. V different path., V far apart physcially, & V good schools both.

Personally I don't like DXS. For traditional school, SPK & S Paul Con is definitely my 1st choice.

One of the point you may want to consider:
The first child is studying in IS, with more leisure time/活動教學/少死記死背/少測驗墨書。
If you let the second child study at traditional school with entirely opposite ways of teaching and school life, when the child is old enough to recognize the difference between herself and her elder sister, she may feel upset and envy her elder sister and think you are not fair to her.
This is exactly the same situation faced by one of my friend. She decided to let her younger child to study in IS becoz she knew some of the cases that the younger child had negative feeling due to the comparison, despite her second child got an offer from a very good local school.

無疑在數千人中能脫穎而出,一定好光榮好開心(無負面意思啊...),但條路係咪如所父母所願咁樣行法? 如果係,又中咗,咁就真係100%替小朋友開心.

yes, 無疑spk係好好的學校, 不過之前個mama講得好啱, 2個小朋友, 唔同path, 溫習, 功課上會有好大分歧....一個要考試默書, 一個唔洗, 一定會感覺上不公平...家長要投放的時間好唔同...你要小心諗清楚...

Tried not to comment but if you don't like DXS, are you sure you know what you will be getting from SPCS?

Just wanna share a bit of experience that how two girls going to different schools would be. Our young one is currently in Creative due to convenience (location), while elder one is in SHCK. The main difference at home, the elder one will have home works to do every night while there are obviously nothing to do for the young one. From time to time, she would complain that why she cannot join her younger sister to play.

只係每間學校收生準則唔同, 幸運亦係重要因素!

考左培正, 德望同聖心, 前2間waiting, 聖心同spk就有offer! 一心鍾意spk但點敢淨係考佢, 之前完全冇唸過會成功添呀! 你呢? 仲考左邊間?

Just a (personal) friendly reminder:

I think I can be quite sure that the one which is more traditional nowadays is SPK, SHCK is definitely not traditional anymore. Of course I agree that Sacred Heart appears to be a very traditional schools in the past ( I grew up in Central-Western district), but things can change...... in a sense, to an extent that I couldn't believe myself from the beginning.

Having said that, it shouldn't change the love of many parents to SPK since they indeed have an excellent management method to run a brilliant school system. Just feel that it is important for parents to consider knowledge of schools from the past can only be used as reference. A lot of things have changed over the years so it is important to do more research to learn more of what is happening now.

對唔住, 各位好心既媽媽, 之前好忙好忙已經有一段時間無上bk, 啱啱先至發現原來大家俾左好多好既意見, 非常多謝&感激...

我地最後都選擇take spk 既offer, 因為細女比較obedient, 讀IS未必啱佢

另外, 怕兩個女TAKE 唔同PATH既疑慮最後亦解決左, 因為7月頭大女抽左入Maryknoll (我地真係無諗過, 派位結果都係好晏先由先生自己一個去攞...好愕然, 亦好懷疑大女過左一年IS生活+K1-2都係活動教學, 佢能否再番D好傳統既學校) 最後考慮左一個月, 我地決定都將佢轉左入Maryknoll, 因為轉出conventional school只有呢次機會, 但如果讀一年maryknoll後真係唔慣再轉返入IS應該會易少少, so far開左學兩星期佢暫時都ok (係投訴下老師好嚴好嚴同埋唔可以帶飾物返學...:;pppp: ), 不過佢話佢鍾意妹妹st paul's多d, 因為老師好好人, not so嚴... 問我地可唔可以再轉佢去st paul's...

最辛苦既係兩個physically好遠...
