Just received SPK results. it says The letter is in Yellow Paper. "we regret to inform you that your application is unsucessful because of the limited number of vacancies. However, His/Her name will be placed on waiting list"

So, I assume that this is waiting list, so does any mommy know whether they will really call the wait list or is just that all unaccepted goes into the waiting list?

Are there 3 forms of letter? Accept, Wait List & Reject. Or just Accept and Wait list.

我記得舊年我收到嘅係藍色reject 信，無提過wait list 呢樣嘢，我嚟手就丟咗喇！

睇番舊年D post話大b通常係waiting list, 細b就reject. 收waiting list 信的人好似重比reject 的人多。

咁可能真係同上年一樣,waiting 係黃紙,accept 係粉紅,reject 係藍紙...

我諗SPK 如果係waiting 的話,機會應該唔大......

My 0803 daughter has just got her last AM offer. The offer letter is simply a piece of pink sheet and one of the partents needs to attend the seminar on 4th June 2011.

It is better to receive no letter. Some BK Mom said, acceptance letter may be sent out later

Natnatkk, sorry to know that your gal got waiting letter.... life is like a matter of gambling, I could only say that my gal is simply lucky than others to get all the offers from the kindergartens we applied. Thanks God!

My 0803 gal is NOT smart at all, I can dare to say that she cannot regonise 1 - 10 well and always make them wrong. The only benefit is she is a big gal and she can behave herself well (speak in soft tone) in front of strangers. She is quite cute too! Frankly, we don't push her too much academically, but just wanna her to be happy and healthy!

Just add oil and send request letter to SPK, heartfeltly wish that you have good news soon!

I got reject letter.

My B is a super-big B - 0711 and we are (including my B is catholic).

This is our second time applying SPK. We have nothing to lose because my B is now in K1 of SHCK and will promote K2 there!

We simply want to TEST SPK. Even SPK gives us a K1 offer, we will release anyway as it doesn't deserve to repeat K1 there!

The Test finding is the result does not depend on:
1. age
2. religious background
3. supporting letter

Got some sharing to those received waiting list mom including myself :

When I was a child my mom has done the same thing as what I did to my daughter now, took me to interviews in different famous schools. I failed all & only got an offer from a gov't subsidized primary school at the last minute just right before school commencement in Sept. I enjoyed my school life very much including both teachers & classmates.

Though I was not educated in the famous or one-dragon Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary schools, I did manage to get offers from many famous Universities like HKU, CUHK, London U,…etc. Having attained Bachelor & two Master degrees with distinctions & some professional certificates, I am now working as a senior position in a large Corporation. My mom satisfied with my performance though I upset her in my early KG & Primary interviews.

I appreciate my mom very much for the things that she did to me & the patience that she endured with me.

Hope I can do the same thing with patience as what my mom did to me to my daughter.

Lastly, we have faith in God & strongly believe God would pave the way for our daughter, and arrange the most suitable schools & teachers, though may not be the one that we dream of, to our daughter.

夢B , thanks for your blessing! Actually, we will choose between SH and SPK.

I had sought for advice from Ian before and I agree with him that SH seems to be a warm and better kindergarten, we have had friends and relatives studying at SH and now have become professionals. SPK is good too, but the ONLY benefit TO US is its location and easy accessibility.

It's true that your gal is too young la, just try again and prepare well next year! I am sure she will get an offer too!

By the way, my gal does not attend school quite often cos of the flu peak season, so we won't go to the school picnic!

  I've been praying everyday.

My daughter was rejected by all the other KGs we applied since she was reluctant to answer the questions - however it seems like her performance was a lot better in group interviews.  She also just got accepted in the am session of a good int'l school last Friday..

We are still deciding which one to take.  For sure we will not let her take both schools at the same time.

Congradulations！你女兒真厲害！一係唔得，一有offer就是令所有人唾涎的spk！好奇一問，你有沒有找ms yu？我今日帶小女上堂的時候都知道同班的2位小朋友有spk的offer! 另外亦聽到有人打給ms yu報喜！成績好像很不錯！不過小女只有waiting，不能做同學了。

Ian, really a difficult decision for us. Frankly, at the very beginning we started to apply for kindergarten for our gal, we aim at SPK as our definite choice, but after seeking your advice and reading the threads about SH, I have learnt and I understand why people switch to SH at the end. More importantly, we share the same feeling!!! Anyway, really delight for our gal and proud of her indeed! qyeternity

面試當日笑住行出課室!

我囡囡講野都幾叻, 面試表現合作,
但初段面試結果好差,
kv, ms, gh waiting, pc reject,
當時真係好擔心, 原來天主已經安排好哂,
仲安排得好到不得了!
迦南pn要交留位費前我收到聖心取錄信,
好開心但同時發現原來聖心中學好遠,
有少少擔心交通嘅時候我又收到聖保祿offer,
所有憂慮都冇哂, 感謝天主!

qyeternity, I guess what your family should do is to enjoy the moment first since all the results are released and you are getting the most out of them now.

Be reminded that many parents are dying to get one of the seats you will be releasing so once decided, then may be it is good to send them letters to withdraw. Of course, not pushing you at all since I totally understand it will need some time.

多謝你呀, 小黑牛, 非常的感謝您介紹ms. yu 囡囡先無太抗拒interview, 不過只限group in, 最好就係自己入去interview(daddy, mommy在場佢會表現差d)所以SH一樣rejected...

唔好灰心, waitlist一定仲有機會, 聽講有d男仔家長怕無一條龍會放棄offer, 而有朋友個大女係SH讀所以細女亦會跟埋去, 小學派位result日husband話係6月3日,spk註冊日係6月4日可能都係等家長考慮埋呢個因素至決定.anyway, thanks very much again and please continue your prayers! wish you the best of luck!!support you support you!!!

Our interview time is 9:20am and I am happy to know that both of my best friends' gal (0803) and mine (0803) can go to AM class together.

We submitted the application form together, then had interview at the same time and also in the same room, now both of us has got AM offer, how lucky we are!!!

I have just received the letter and there is a PM offer of SPK for Edgar. I need to do some research tonight or ask for some advice. Maybe you and Ian can give me some about SPK and St. Paul's Church. Thanks!

For a boy, I would choose St Paul's Church. There are so few boys in SPK which in my opinion, is not an ideal place for boys' social and emotional development (vice versa if girls go to a boys-dominated school).

My neighbour whose son is now P1 told me that she put her boy to study at SPK to pave way for the younger sister to go it later, but she was regretting several times when her son complained how the girls were bullying him. She said she would not do the same should she has to choose again.

hi everyone, my girl got wait-listed too, 0712, a bit disappointed, 前幾年一直都有research, spk有收超大b, 不過真係唔多, 唔係好似pc的chance咁高... but never mind, 已經有d好學校收咗, 比起好多人已經好好啦, 應該心足!

唔收的小朋友, 父母都唔好唔開心, 唔代表小朋友唔好, 唔叻, 佢地已經做得好好了....
