今期親子王介紹解構IB課程,想問問保良局蔡繼友又話行IB,但周刊內容並沒提及此校.究竟有無人知咩原因呢?

CKY is only an IB candidate school rather IB world school.

You can check from the IBO website

It takes time to be an accrediated IB school.

I think if you want IB at this moment, Creative (oxford road) is one of them. It was only an IB candidate one year / two years ago, but now is an IB school.

CKY open day on 19/3/2011

You may ask the teachers or the principal. Actually CKY will start their IB program in this Sep., as DBS started theirs last Sep., and became IB world school on May last year, so they still have time.

I guess you say PYP and MYP instead of IBDP.

Most DSS and private schools claimed they are or will be IB accredited only for IBDP (If really accredited) and not PYP and MYP, except Creative has both MYP and IBDP.

You can check other posts, many loyal parents explained to you the schools helped them saving money and PYP & MYP no curricullum etc etc.......... no need to be accredited.

You really want an accredited IB primary school, go to IBO website and find the accredited schools in HK (Most are international schools or ESF), arrange a school visit and apply.

Actually seldom people are quite interested in PYP nor MYP. It does matter if the school run IBD, GCE AL or NSS.

I think CKY was not famous enough to be known by the journalist, or the journalist was not informative enough to know about CKY.

I think Sing Toa has a right principle to quote accredited IB schools only and not candidate schools (I checked with IBO, CKY is a candidate school, not accredited yet, but a candidate school not necessary to be accredited.) or claimed IB approach schools.

CKY and Logos are so famous in HK and in BK, every journalists must know them......

That’s strange! Sing Toa had also mentioned SPCC which was still a candidate school and a newly founded Lutheran Academy.

Creative Primary School (Oxford Road) is a candidate school since 2005 but not yet an IB world school.

I think it should be Creative Secondary School which is already an IB world school.

He/she said primary school not accredited only.
