請問有無家長知道邊度有得學Euphonium次中音號? 琴行或者私人都可以.

問過兩間大琴行都無得學(通x, 柏x)

唯有跟private instructor學
通常教lower brass都可以教
但個euphonium的價錢

好少人單學euphonium
同埋考級最低係5級(abrsm)

Seems that the keys (pressing combinations) of tuba, french horn and "marching trombone" are similar, so knowing one of them = knowing all of them.

But the "usual" trombone is not played by key combinations, so is different from euphonium.

Tuba & Trombone 係咪都係5級起?
-  Trombone = start from grade 1.
Not sure about tuba, can check from ABRSM website.

Our private instructor is quite busy.  Have to ask first.

Why don't you ask your friends too, for info on private instructors ?  Or your kid's school's music teacher, or parents of classmates.

One pre-requisite for playing brass instruments :
The shape of the LIPS have to be correct.
So not everybody who wants to play can make a sound with brass instruments.
Must also be quite strong (not toooo thin) otherwise cannot even hold the instrument.

By the way, do you know how much a euphonium cost ?

Not much choice, and vvvvv expensive (to me).
And only 1 or 2 are required in an orchestra, can even do without it cos can be substituted by tuba / fr horn / trombone.

Sorry : from ABRSM website, exam for Euphonium starts from Grade 1.
