I know neither of them has very strong academics.  But which one might be better?

In the last page of the file, you can see 2010 graduates' university acceptance and AP results.
Hope it helps.

For ICS you may go to their official school website for a more detail list of universities acceptances.

Cornell, Harvard, UCLA, UC berkeley, Chicago.... Not strong? It is quite a good list for me. I have checked many other school's list. So, if you know, please tell me some facts.

Jackeylwfd, do you have similar % for other IS?  It would be very interesting if there is a comparison.

Hi, I wonder if ICS has strong emphasis on students' academic performance?  I just visited their kindergarten last week and the principal gave me such stong impression... I was expecting to look for a school who will care more about helping children develop their positive attitudes more than just academic results...
Also, if I would send my kid to study overseas, I would choose Europe other than US/Canada... so does it mean ICS does not suit my child?
Can any other ICS parents give any comment on my doubts? Thanks.

The impression that I got was that they are quite demanding.

My kid went for pre-Grade 1 interview and during the interview, I asked the lady what they will do if the kid is more advanced in a particular subject.  As far as I know, in the US, kids can move up for a particular subject if they are more advanced in that subject.  The lady responded that from upper primary, their curriculum is very challenging.  She believed that hardly any student will find it not challenging enough.

CIS = Chinese International School
CAIS = Christian Alliance International School

The comparision is between ICS and CAIS, not CIS.

It is not surprise CIS got these admission results because it is one of the top international schools in HK.

Anyone knows the new address of the new campus of CAIS?
作者: luplup    時間: 11-3-3 14:53

I don't know the exact address but I know it's the piece of land under the highway system near Cheung Sha Wan/Lai Chi Kok.

luplup: Thanks for your info!
Have it already started to build now? When will be completed?
Tks!

The construction work should have already begun as I saw there were some construction machines at the site.  Heard that their plan is to move middle/high school students in first in 2014/15, followed by elementary school students the next year.
