Plan to let my son go boarding, better to put him in prep school or straight to senior "through train" school? The agent strongly recommend prep school as cheaper and better caring....but hv to change school at yr 9, but the agent said the process is simple, is that true?

From Yr 9, it is much better to get in from Prep School

hv your agent told many 1-100 school are almost full and 100-200 the seats are limit it seem u are very late to apply so there are not many choice for u to go to in now so your agent suggest u to go to prep school.

.... the boy may get very homesick...
I went to UK when I was 11... I cannot say I was happy!

My children will go UK to study this coming Sept. Is it easy to have a job there? I'm just thinking should I go UK too? Or i need to find a guardian in UK.

cmaggie, it depends on what kind of job you are looking for, for the office job might be a bit difficult。

My son will go to stats boarding school for Y10 this coming Sept. I don't have friends in UK, so I need to find a guardian to take care for him. Or I go to UK too. But I think it is hard for me to find a job there. Any good idea?

My son finally got admitted to 2 schools for this Sep and pending admission for another 2 which they are full this year and only offer next Sep entry. We actually went to visit these schools and obtained more information of them.

Anyone can recommend a guardian or a better agency? I heard that the service of many agencies are very poor. My son's prospect school will be either in Leicester or London.
