I am not nanny bus agent bor..... I only know there are some nanny buses from the Kowloon side but not sure if there are others running elsewhere in HK island. You may try to ask in the relevant forum to try your luck!

btw, just wanna remind parents that although we are successful to trial run the Kowloon bus routes this year, whether it can be continue will really depends on actual demand. It would require the co-operation of all the related parents.

hi 008mama. yes we are living in TKO. Actually, my daugther might have car sick from time to time. Even we have car, she sometimes has car sick. For instance, when we go to Cyberport from TKO, she wants to vomit.

But we want to let her try the school bus first. If not, we are prepared to move to HK island...

My elder daughter got AM offer fortunately, we decided to give her a ride in every morning like what we currently do (as she is studying PN class), however, SHCK seems not allow us to do so? Isn’t it?

Not allow to drive the students to the kindergarten? No, there are no such rules. But of course, you will need to find a place to stop since Robinson Road has just one lane each way. You can try to stop at Mosque Street which is a one-way alley (quite narrow) and then walk to the kindergarten. However, be careful since sometimes there are parking tickets if it is left unattended.

The one you mentioned should be SPCS, as I heard from their parent that the Sister urge the parents not to drive the kids to school. The traffic there is quite bad since many parents don't listen to the advices.

Just a quick update:

I think many parents are concerned about the school bus arrangement in the coming year, particularly the Kowloon routes.

The two routes no. 13 and no. 14 will continue to operate as long as there are 14 students or above per bus who will participate in coming year.  According to this year's number and if everyone in current NC and LK (i.e. K1 and K2) continue to join the pm routes, the chance is very very high they can continue.

For the am routes, it will depends on the demand after parents pay deposit for the coming year's service later in May or June.  The school bus company will count the number of participation based on the deposit cheques they received per bus.

Concerning the pickup points, since we won't collect the information so it will follow the current routes.  If parents have other requests, I think they have a place on the form they issued that you can suggest other pickup points.  However, please be understandable and considerate that they may not be able to create many new pickup/drop-off points.  It is because the current max travel time is around 1 hour already (from the first pickup point) so unless there are changes to that, any new points will mean extending the travel over the allowed max travel time.  The only possibility to add new points will probably be the demand is so high that they need an extra bus.

Just a final note, some parents may wonder why it seems the travel time is quite long based on their school hours.  Please note that school buses need to arrive 15-30 mins before actual school start and leave around 10-20 mins after school due to the large number of students taking the school bus and to move the buses inside the car park.  So, this need to be consider when you calculate the actual travel time on the bus.  Hope this help to answer some parents' concern.

Yes, Kwoon Chung will use the current PM routes as the backbone first. This is just the same as the HK routes where pickup points are re-arranged according to demand, plus possible to detour to those areas. New pickup points can be suggested by parents when they send the notice out later in May/ June.

do you know when KC would send us the notice/survey (thru school) for data collection?

Hi Sheffield,

It won't be any notices/survey as it will simply be a notice at end of year to reserve (pay deposits) for school bus seats for the next school year. These routes will be in that notice and these Kowloon routes will be subjected to enough students reserving them.

It won't be any notices/survey as it will simply be a notice at end of year to reserve (pay deposits) for school bus seats for the next school year. These routes will be in that notice ...

My young one just had the second registration last week and the two Kowloon routes should appear on the school bus list already (with the condition of minimum 14 students).

Hope it can be successful this year for the am routes!

really hope so....
the nanny bus has broken down for more than a week and the kids had been riding on a small and unqaulified van...i was told by my girl that she was not using the seat belt for the first day (the way to school) and 2 kids shared one seat belt on the way back home....i checked with the person in charge for the seat belt and had my girl get on the bus as long as there were enough seat belt.....the second day, the girls were all wet when my girl was dropped off at our living place. i called again to find out what's going on and i was told the air conditioner was not working properly....then my girl refused to take that van on the third day...i understood why my girl refused to get on the van and i "forced" her to go to school with that van as long as there were enough seat belt (though i didn't want to)...i had to "prepare" my girl every morning before she saw the van.....and finally there was a good big school bus for pick up this morning!!! hope they would use this big one until the repairing of nanny bus is done.....

Please accept my apology for late reply as I have been occupied with family matters.

The current route doesn't have stop there. It was formed based on demand from current students so you may tell the school bus company of your location for them to decide whether they can accommodate that.

This is only for kindergarten since the primary section is not using the same school bus company and also their school hours are different (so as their location).

Ian, for SH private session (am) primary school, do you konw whether any existing school bus operator or nanny bus operator is running the eastern kowloon route and their contacts?

I am sure there are nanny buses going between TKO and SHCSPS as my friend's daughter is using it now. There are also western Kowloon route too as we saw them early in the morning on our side. But I don't have their contacts yet. What do you wanna ask?
