美國一般的小型商店glossary store裏散裝的小食即沖飲料之類會較貴，但是如果在大超市大大包買的話是很平宜的。最抵買都係╴大包家庭裝夠食一個月又唔會咁快過期

美國全果在華人聚居的城市一般out town都有chinese supermarket, 真的幾齊全的

Necessities like bread or milk are more reasonable priced. There are also some cheap cup noodles but if used to those in HK, those cheap ones are quite bad tasted.

Basically the other products are considered snacks so price of these items are quite expensive compare to HK.

Grocery food in US is not expansive.  Pls check the link below to get an idea. I would say some of those such as OJ , dairy products  and meat are even cheaper and have better quality than those being sold in HK.

Only seafood, such as live shrimps, fishes have much less choice than those U may find in HK.

But as a foreign student, one should not complain if he/she  can have the Maine lobsters and Dungeness crabs occasionally.

U may list out  things U think your child need to bring to US. I would say a good number of  those  cna be bought in US at similar, if not lower  prices, such as electronics and stationaries.
