請問有無試過英基的校外英語課程(K1),可否給些意見?

課程可以,但要嚴選導師,因為個人覺得質素參差,如你覺得所分派的班老師麻麻地,可以要求改换

class size seems too big ~15 children a class

I went to open day last Sat. I am not that impressed by the 2 teachers I met. I also heard 2 kids (mostly local HK) talking in Cantonese while doing art work.

I don't recommend. My 2 kids took some English writing and debate courses during the Easter holiday but they didn't learn much. Students came from both local and international school and teachers seemed to handle them in the same manner.  Courses are short and expensive.

绝对同意ESF English programme and Sports camp 是物非所值.
提议孩子参加香港区英美式课外活动,
eg. ballet, ruby, hockey, netball, scout teams in where both coaches and kids speaking English fluently.  Chinese kids catch up quick when playing and learning with fun.  The most important is the activities are nearly at free charge.

P.S.  ESF Sports and English Learning Centre is an individual organisation apart from ESF schools.  Please be aware.

That mean their summer camps are not good as well?

No... going to these camps doesn't make it easier to get into ESF kindies.

I put my son in a sports programme at the ESF primary school that I would like him to go to, only because he would be familiar with the environment and won't be scared when he goes for the interview.

And... yes... their summer camps are not that good either.  I have put my son in sports camps for 3-4 year old for the third time this Easter to "kill time".  The teachers don't know what to do with children this young.  The 5+ junior camps are so much more organized!

My son is attending their Sat 3-5 year class (the youngest one) and he absolutely loves it. His teacher is Ms. Sabrah. He always wanted to go and his English has improved a lot (spoken of course), even better than when he was attending the international kindergarten. Btw, we only speak Mandarin at home and our helper's English is quite poor.
