There is nothing special or difficulty for the interview. Kids are waiting/playing at the playground before the interview time, then teacher will ask parents to get their application form when time is ready. Parents and kids line up to go to the interview room at 2nd or 3rd floor. 3 interview tables in the classroom.

Then teacher will ask
For kids:
1. name, age, who is dad and who is mom.
2. matching game + color
3. muscle testing game

Finally the teacher will give a gift to the kid.

I believe the above questions are pretty standard for a kinder's interview. It is wholly depends on the performance of the kid. I noticed that the teacher is quite focus on the kid instead of the parents during the whole interview.

d-ma, did your kid take interview at the Central or Mount Butler campus? We took the interview at the Mount Butler campus and the questions are similar.

I took the interview at Bulter and I missed to listen what is the date of results. Does anyone know?
I think the competition is very keen as the interview time was very short per family. that means too many pple joined the interview. Did they finish all the interview on 15 Jan 11, or still have other interviews on coming days?

We had interview at Central. Teachers are very nice and we love this school. For Central, there is interview on 15th and 22nd. We supposed to have interview on 22nd, but we are not in hk on that day, so change to 15th. The result of Central will announce on 25 Feb.

Though i know my kid should fail in the interview, I am still appreciated of the interviewer (Ms. Lee) showing her patience and love to ask question (same questions as the above) to my daughter. My daughter was not that concentrated in the interview, Ms. Lee tried her way to lead my daughter playing with her.

I think it is not quite fair to disclose the interview questions while there is another interview next week. Should let the school be aware of this.

THe interview at Sheng Kung Hui is the best arranged interview day we have ever attended.

I went for the one in Central. We just spent 30 min in school including my son's car racing time in the playground after the interview. THere was no waiting time at all and not many people as we could see.

The interview at different floors actually spreads people around. Time management was very well. We went there exactly at our interview time and we can go straight into the classroom.

The parent volunteers and the teachers are very kind and nice - carrying good smiles and gentle and soft voice despite so many interviews already gone through in the morning.

This year too many applications so the interviews will extend to next sat for Central. But heard that no more for Mt Butler.

Don't know if the questions are different for next week?

我都係上星期in的,咁我又覺得就算講左d問題出黎又唔係好大影響.
個d問題我諗有99%去考skh的小朋友都識.其實老師都預左你識架啦,佢地要睇當時的表現同反應.同埋skh一定有佢一套收生的準則,小朋友就算答晒但唔係佢地要的嘢都冇用.
同埋佢都係問下日常用品,colour,你地去in之前都預左佢問架啦.
其實in左咁耐大家都知,識晒唔一定收,唔識唔一定唔收的道理.
所以又唔使咁大反應的.

咁同補習天王洩題有乜分別呀，this is illegal! Everyone should have fair chance if given the questions are same in both interview day. 所以我覺得呢個唔關題目係深定淺囉。

咁又唔同,補習天王個d係大個的學生,佢地可以死背問題,同埋佢地係真係答啱就係識,答唔啱就唔識.
但依家只係一個二歲多d的bb,就算你話晒俾佢知點做,都要睇佢心情.同埋老師肯定唔係只睇答案囉.
再者呢道唔講,問朋友都問到啦.
同埋interview呢家嘢根本就唔fair的.之前已經太多post有講啦.
不過講出in咩的內容唔係我黎架,我只係講出我的感受咋.

I had amended the content already.

Sometimes, I think whether the kid will enter the school is kind of "destiny" with the kinder. The kid will show you by his performance during the interview. Just take it easy.

I guess around 2200 applicants for Central and 1300 applicants for Butler. I was the last group of applicant for Central and my colleague is the last group of applicant for Butler on the application date.

you just need to go to their website - click on the class photos - then you will understand the proportion of boys vs girls. Reality is in front of your eyes.

Let me tell you one clue - I like to take photos of the birthday trees stick on the classroom when I went for interviews or school open days - then I know exactly their birthday month distribution, no of students in class & the boys/girls disproportion.

this is just a ballpark figure. the probability to get a seat is around 1/20 for both kinders. Anyway, take it easy and the god will arrange the best for your kid.

That's the most interest point of interview! You think the baby is ready but it turned out that things are beyond your control and expectation.

Agree!!  When you think your kid is smart enough to handle well during interview, but somehow he can't perform very well.

My son had attended several interviews for K1, some kinders he performed not good even he was very "genki" on that day.  On the other hand, he had performed very well for the interview on the date he was pretty sick.  So, kids still have their preferences to choose the kinder.

So, I just leave it for the "sky" to arrange for me.  As far as I prepared well for him, whether he can get into that kinder is his destiny.

I think this is a principle matter 根本做呢樣嘢係唔啱對上星期六見嘅人唔係好公平（但係好感激修改）完全唔關小朋友吸收能力問題有個別家長話佢個小朋友就算知道都唔一定識答但事實出面有好多小朋友都好醒。

But the school should be smart enough to change the questions when they decided to arrange interview in two separate days.

我絕對明白你的感受, 我大仔當年考 K1 時都經歷過, 領悟一個道理, 正正就如另一個家長所說的 "識晒唔一定收, 唔識唔一定唔收的道理"..... 沒有絕對

畢竟 SKH 的收生 Ratio 是大約 20 選 1..... tough luck

我都覺得SKH係暫時我in咁多間安排得最好既，雖然我個女都係表現一般，但老師都好有心機問佢引導佢，睇得出好有愛心！

Agree. The teacher was super nice. She guided my kids all the way. (not sure if that's good). Though we know there are lots of applicants, the school never felt like it was packed. Very calm environment so good for the kids.
