I got the letter from St Stephen's College Primary School today (waiting list). Does anyone know how long the waiting list is? What can we do to confirm a place?

The length of waiting list of any school is confidential info and no school will tell you how long it is. For SSCPS, it's even harder to deduce because it contains both those who have gone through the 2nd interview and those who have not.

Waiting-list applicants can only wait for the school to offer a place later on. You may try to write to the headmistress to show your sincerity - it may help.

If you are writing to the school, please note that the name of the school is St. Stephen's College Preparatory School.

I guess there is no reject letter. All they have are only Offer Letter and Wait List Letter...

Maybe they want to give more flexibility in locating eligible waiting-list applicants, not limiting to those who have attended the 2nd interview.

My daughter didn't have 2nd interview, still as "waitlist", so, there's no reject letter, right?! so there will be 900 kids waiting?!

Thank you for your prompt reply. Actually I am quite disappointed for not being accepted. At the 2nd interview (5 families), I was the one who shared the most ideas. The principal smiled after I shared the ideas.
I have no idea how the principal selected the applicants. Someone said there's still a chance even though we are on waiting list. Anyway, we will wait and see.

As you have attended the 2nd interview, you are probably higher in priority in the waiting list than those who have not. Who knows, I might release SSCPS later if another school accepts my son. I am sure there are parents like me who might release SSCPS after receiving better offers.

Don't blame yourself and your kid, there are so many factors the school considered that we hardly undrerstand. Just from BK, it is not hard to find that people are struggling in choosing SSCPS with other schools, or even gave up already. You still have chance, be patient if this is the one you are looking for.
Btw, I fully understand the feeling of being rejected as my kid had received a couple of rejection letters (though they were not the most want schools, but...... ). Add Oil!!

Don't give up. Write to SSCPS principle, Ms Wai, showing that you like the school. Even though the school holiday starts last week, the office is open.
At least two siblings got the seats last week, registered last Tuesday.

We just got the call from St Stephen for offering a place for my girl. We reject the offer immediately as we have received the dream school's offer yesterday! Good luck to all of you!

I am in the same situation. I thought I did very, very well in my second interview. In fact, the head msitress was so happy with my answer that she stopped me and she wanted to go into the topic herself. She wanted the other four parents to listen what I had to say. She repeated it again and again. I was very happy again. Then, on my second question, I got all four parents talking about my daughter. I never felt so dominated in a conversation in my entire life. Then, my daughter was put on waitinbg list. I was disappointed.

In my opinion, dominating in an interview is not a good attitude. It only reflects that you do not care about other people's ideas and feeling. In a group interview, interviewees should act together to create a relaxing environment to share their ideas and discuss the issue in a constructive way.

Actually I did quite bad in the 2nd interview, I don't know what I am saying during the interview.  But my kid got in by SSCP.

However, for the 2nd interview of SPCC, I think I did a really good job.. but my kid is only on their waiting list.  A firend of mine who did really really bad during the 2nd interview of SPCC, but her kid got in.

So.. I think they already got a ranking list.  As long as u r not too bad, they will follow the ranking list.  The performance of 2nd interview is not that count.
