依家 SC/KV 中英數教緊 d 乜?
我本身個仔讀維記
想知下係咪相差好遠

SC K3:

Maths -> length measurement, addition, substraction, clock
English -> english spelling like policeman, postman, people, ... etc.
Chinese -> chinese writing like gloves, winter, ... etc. And try to make some simple chinese sentences

seems like major difference is in english
victoria seldom ask kids to really spell coz the do phonics @@

for chinese does SC have dictation?

SC wouldn't name it as Dictation but revision week or assessment week. Starting from K2, students are required to write those words learnt during the revision week/assessment week.

victoria also does not call it "chinese dictation"
they call it sth like "review" but it is actually sort of dictation
they only start doing this @ K3
K2 they only ask kids to write simple chinese words abt 6-8 each time @@

請問vic 的英文phonics進度如何, 若果唔出去另外讀phonics, 以vic的進度k3可以睇倒ort stage幾的書? vic本身學校係咪都係以ort做 reader教? k2 k3分別係教stage幾?

hi onec ^^

to be frank I did not give him extra phonics lessons at all
I just followed the sch's progress and practice with my boy
victoria has its own published phonics training books
basically K2 they do simple ones like the sound of each letter of the alphabet, then proceed to more complex ones like "ae" at the latter part of K2
K3 they do even more complex ones like oo, oa, if, it etc. and are asked to make words
yes they do use ORT I guess we are following it according to the recommended ages.
