We only got an offer from SC for the afternoon English & Cantonese K1 program. My son is studying PN at Victoria now. Any suggestions?

IJai,

Is their curriculum still very easy? Do they learn to write Chinese and English sentences in K3?
And how about the phonics progress? when does Vic start teaching blending?
My son is in PN in HG, got offer from SC, I like Vic, but SC's curriculum is known to be quite good, hesitate, could u kindly give more info?

I think the hardware and faciliies are better in Vic than SC.

lJai: May I know which campus that your son is studying now? Can you share more about your son's school life academically? PLEASE.

onec: My son is also studying PN at HG. We also got an offer from SC. We really really like Victoria, because my son enjoys going to school everyday. The teacher said he keep laughing when he enters the classroom everyday. However, we also worried the curriculum is not strong enough to P1.

boat8: totally agree with you. We also like the (small class teaching) in Victoria.

my boy is at HMT

maths they are doing addition and subtraction up to 10

chinese they write sentences, e.g."我們一起吃火鍋" - -", 要寫週記, 部首 practice, every week chinese dictation this week 30 words.

english phonics plus dictation 5 words every week. btw what is blending? -.-

plenty of activities still my boy loves the sch he is so happy

Thank you for your reply. I believe that you really like Victoria. My husband and I are still struggling between SC and Victoria. People seem have stronge preference for SC as they said SC has stronger academic culture and has more options for the P1 placement results.

我囡囡都在Vic讀Pn，K1會轉SC，因綜合好多意見會覺得SC對讀傳統P1好些。

Agreed that SC has better P1 placement result. For us, the chances to go to SC are getting higher.

我仔都係vic(HG) PMclass,原來有咁多同學仔有SC offer.

我會轉去SC, 因為我無小學母校back up的20分,咁既然SC派校好D,就去囉.

chikkee: My son is also studying Vic (HG) PN pm class. He is in A3 class. We don't have any back up for P1 placement either. We will register SC tomorrow first.
IJai: 陳瑞祺... your son must be a very smart boy!!! Beside going to Vic, do you take him for any extra classes and activities?
