I arrived at 9:15 am and had to line up, standing, for 45 mins OUTDOOR WITH MY KID for the interview arranged for 9:45 am. There were more than 100 people on the queue.

I think this was a very poor admin arrangement. May I know if this is normal for all kindergarten interview? What if it is raining or very cold days? Why would the school make the kids & parents do that? And as many parents have said on the forum, the interview took no more than 3 mins.

I had the interview yesterday. My situation is the same. But they allow my wife and my daughter to play inside while I was queuing outside.

My daughter is the 1st kid in 12:15 session but her number is 370. I heard from the teachers that the school hv to hold around 100+ interviews in 1 hr.

So I think you can say it is abnormal. Because I don't think a normal kindergarten will have 2k to 3k applicants in a yr.

Agree, even you can get into the playground, there is NO ROOM for your kid. The playground is too crowded

The staff there told me they have 20 teachers interview at a time, which means they can conduct more than 100 interviews in an hour.

(The first interview held at 8:45am and by around 9:30am, they already held 150 interviews.)

...我見1:30; 我地1:15到, 2:00前離開學校, 個PLAYGROUD都唔係迫噃...

佢呢兩日會接見2千幾個CANDIDATES, 不過當中包括N同K....九龍塘啟思都有1800個左右既申請, 九龍塘間間學校都係咁上下多人....

Me too. My feeling is there are too many candidates and the school is not too organised. So, whoever is available will conduct the interview, no matter you are International or 中英班

我係IN 8.45am, 其實安排幾差, IN MANDARIN老師,佢問我問題, 又突然收哂我女既玩具唔比佢玩要佢答問題, 我女緊係唔得啦, 佢得16個月, 只係識講少少野咋...應該都FAILED, 但講真D老師COMPARE迦南(KLN TONG),係差D, CANNAN TEACHER 有HEART D, 安排好好多!

We interviewed yesterday. From stepping into and out of the school - it just took me 10 minutes. it is the faster interview we have ever had. I thought they are very organized. Don't k now why sat become like this?
i believer normal stream are conducted in eng by net teacher. international stream is conducted in PTH.
It is not any teacher to conduct the interview. my son's file has a W card and then we are interviewed by the teacher with W card in front of her desk.
but the interview is so simple that i cannot understand how they can select the limited no of smart babies to offer.l

我今日都去咗INTERVIEW, 我的時間係6:00pm, 我大約5:45到, 都係等咗一陣咋, 唔髮6:45都走得, 我覺得佢安排無咩問題喎, 咁佢都有地方比小朋友玩, 又唔算好迫啫。咁我覺得等得耐嗰d, 係因為佢哋早到咗好多, 咁佢哋咪要等耐d囉, 人哋都叫你ontime到就得。
另外, 佢的問題又唔算係好淺啫, 咁得個歲多, 你有想佢哋問幾深的問題呢???? 雖然我都唔知佢哋的criteria係點, 但佢哋考bb的嘢同好多間都差唔多啦!!!
但真係好多人考囉, 我諗就算真係答啱哂d問題都唔代表佢一定會收你。
仲要等到1月先有消息, 真係好心急呀!!!

唉, interview 的問題真係唔難, 基本上阿囡全部都識答, 不過係平時... 今日佢唔知做mug 鬼勁唔合作, 只係選擇性地完成一d 指令, 大部份時間就在扭計要走。雖然都知就算答晒都唔一定會收, 但識都唔答就真係俾佢激死。

i applied for local stream. interviewed by net teacher. but my girl simply didn't like the teacher and was unwilling to sit on the chair, let alone answering her questions...

中英文班講明會用廣東話或英文面試
國際班就講明係用普通話或英文面試
就算您之前唔知
您係門口註冊完
學校派左張A5 size 既面試需知都有寫到

09年收 (2010-2011) 78個小朋友
今年收 (2011-2012) 既可能都係差唔多 80 個咁上下

I'm afraid u misread this school.
Refer to the "Interview Day Reminder" point 5, you can find she stated it clearly that - You "cannot" choose the language, which will be used for the interview. English or Mandarin will be selected for those students who are applying for the International Section. English or Cantonese will be selected for those students who are applying for the Anglo-Chinese section.

in fact i was shocked by the net teacher interview - cause i never chose the international stream and never has an eng interview - so i did not teach my son on this. i asked to change to chinese but the net teacher said because school has two teacher - one chinese and one english so they interview in eng. she said if he does not understand you might translate to him - but then obviously fail la!
before the interview nobody in BK has mentioned HKPS will do like this. is that something new this year?

interview既時候見外籍老師,
隔離抬小朋友走來走去, 走左過來我地抬玩, 佢一手祝住, 黑面, 叫隔離個家長同老師睇緊d... 全程黑面....
問我地問題時黑口黑面, 問阿b問題時馬馬虎虎, 完全唔覺佢有愛心同有heart,
阿b最後走時byebye佢, 仲加埋飛吻, 佢cool爆望左一眼, cool爆咁bye左一聲, 就目無表情咁thank you for your time, 阿b再bye, 佢就拎開面再講thank you for your time, 然後睇文件!

我今日見識過之後, 完全唔知佢地出名係邊!
interview前已經唔覺有任何inspire我既地方,
感覺學校較殘舊, 較細...
interview之後, 無論點我都唔會俾阿b去/ 介紹朋友仔去!
可能佢只係only 1 係咁既老師, 但係我真係唔知佢會唔會教阿b, 萬一佢係阿b班主任, 阿b學唔到黑面, pull long face至奇!
家長係度都可以咁, 家長唔係度, 佢係點對小朋友既呢?
我見完之後, 真係為左見到幼兒教育界有呢d老師覺得好sad!!!!

我地今日5:30pm interview, 5:15pm去到, 係門外排左十分鐘倒啦就入得, 阿女雖然唔耐煩, 係門外走黎走去, 但都唔算等得太耐, 如果準時到就唔洗等添. 入到去老公填form, 我就同阿女玩左一陣, 好快就要入去interview, warm up時間唔多夠, 但playground唔算太迫, at least, 我阿女仲可以有幾架車車比佢揀黎坐.
我地係報中英文班, 係廣東話interview. 不過我個女平時比工人湊, 識英文多過中文, 老師問完我都要再用英文問一次我阿女. In既環境都幾嘈, 阿女有時都轉身望下人地做緊乜, 好彩個老師都幾醒, 即刻用D新玩具吸引番阿女過黎, 不過阿女怕醜, 有D平時做倒既野都唔肯做, 個interview我覺得唔算深又唔算淺, D問題同我in過其他既學校差不多, 反而我覺得funful個interview最難.
In完之後我係校內撞倒個同事黎in K1, 果時我先時點解咁多人黎interview, 原來唔止in PN班架, 怪唔之得咁多人, 多到要排隊入去. 其實如果佢分開唔同級別唔同日in應該好好多!
我阿女interview時個number係1232, 唔知係咪已經有1231個PN小朋友in左呢?

我都有同感, IN 緊個時好嘈, 太多disturbance, 隔離檯又有阿B CRY...我個女一歲時都識做既動作, 指鼻鼻, 佢都唔肯做..激親

老師叫阿女講名, 比左隻bearbear阿女叫佢squeeze隻bearbear. 叫阿女分別貓狗, 指出眼耳口鼻, 分開兩舊lego, 砌番兩舊lego. 又叫阿女比D野老師.
家長方面就問, 平時邊個湊, 屋企用咩語言, weekend會去邊, 平時阿女幾點瞓覺.

我地係報中英文班, 係廣東話interview
I think the overall interview process is very organized bor. Although we need to wait outside for about 20 mins, the instructions from the school is clear.

The questions are simple compares to other schools' interviews. I have the exact questions as "fung c9".

Since there are sooo many interviewers la, I don't have much expectation ga..But as long as my son performs well, i feel happy for him la!

Don't be disappointed!! Add oil!!

我地係in 早上9:15分的. 不過, 我地早了半個鐘去. 已經分成3條龍排. 一開始由於唔清楚, 仲排錯龍. 後來聽人講先知9:15係排第二條龍. 仲以為係自己烏龍, 原來排我地前面的父母之前都排錯隊.
排了一陣, 阿B有D唔耐煩, 聽講可以一個家長排隊, 一個同小朋友入Playground玩. 我地就入去玩. 不過, 真係幾多家長同小朋友.
其實個安排都算OK, 撇除我地早到, 整個Interview 20分鐘內完成.
不過, 整個印象就好流水作業式, 可能真係太多人啦. Interview的房入面又多人. 所以都有少少吵. 不過, 我最失望係個NET 係Interview的時候用' He' . 我地明明係女仔, 雖然係著褲去Interview者. 點解會用 ' he' . 我老公即係糾正佢.She is a girl. 分明都無睇我地的Info, 求其問完佢想問的幾個問題就算.
反之, 之前我地In 另一間的九龍塘N班, 我就覺得係Interview的過程中真係好Care 小朋友的. Interview時, 我個囡對有D指令無反應, 佢地會同我地由於佢比較細, 所以無反應係好正常... 佢呢個月份主要係有無eye contact 等等..interview完, 仲問我地有無問題想問佢地. Interview完, 仲帶我地參觀學校.
所以, 我覺得可能真係太多人係同一時間Interview, 所以真係比較流水作業.

We had interview in PTH, I think the teacher is nice and enough eye contact with my son. She asked simple question, like pointing dog/ cats, eyes/ nose. She asked me what we would do in weekend, who take are of my son, what language do we use at home and when does he sleep.
I think the interview is well-orgainzed. The interview with teacher abt 5-10 mins and we waited for 15 mins in the playground.

我面試10:45a.m. ，我早到，連條隊都未有，所以都無得排隊，但可以先入去玩！但都有d混亂，in咗太約5分鐘，我揀國際班 (playgroup)，由國語老師in 我，但我唔識講國語，都係講Cantanese and Englist！阿女都扭計

我地報中英班, 但係westener IN, 其實阿女都識聽識講, 點知阿女超級怕羞, 結果成個過程佢一粒聲都冇出過, 一項TASK都冇做到. 個teacher氹咗好耐都冇佢乎. 結果...."its ok, you can go!"
唉.....
