有無人收到信呀?我地1月5日面試.
請問上年interview既家長,佢封信話interview時要比school report佢睇,但我個小朋友而家讀緊間學校都未出上學期成績表,咁可以比咩佢睇呀?

I would like to say that it's not every kindergarten will help to give out the proof (e.g. school reports/school letter) to the child for the interviews. The Beverly Hill Kindergarten at Tseung Kwan O is the one. The teacher said that they will not give out any reports/letters to prove the child has been studied at their kindergarten unless the child has finished the whole three years kindergarten course!

Never mind! It's not a big deal at all if they refuse to help. Luckily we've changed kinder already.

Keep it simple. No need to be so bulky or complicated. They receive thousands of applications every year and do not spend much time on reading each kid's profile.

Anyway it is just a game to par ...

Bring student report from playgroup etc. But key is English Oral for your kids (not parents). His/her confidence is everything!

The lady Pricinpal has heart to interview all applicants 4000-5000 With lots of schedule according to their months of birth, spending her 1-2 months' time.
What she told me repeatly, only 3 mins is enough to pick up those kids who are suitable for CCKG.
So if your kid do not get a place, please don't blame or make up any rumor, negative comment
.
All parents are just ordinary HK parents with good command in English

Some kinder in. HK island ? SPC nursery even do not offer an interview, seats are reserved.

Thanks for your sharing. If then do we need to bring with applicant's portfolio with school assessment report to CCKG? or only carry with the school assessment report is just enough? What's your opinion.

Good catch! 星歷仔ccsclh.

Since the competition is keen, every little detail does matter. From my last year experience, each round 5 children were waiting outside Mrs. Fielding’s office. When she came out and asked your child’s name, your greeting, dress code and manner were being continuously assessed and inevitably, it unveiled a lot about your family background & your English proficiency.

How do you response? How do you initiate the conversation? How do you show your courtesy and conclude the dialogue right after the interview? Whether your child is stepping forward on his/her own with smile & confidence OR just being dragged to Mrs.Fielding with undisclosed unwillingness. Every tiny thing makes a difference.

Never ask your child to recite. I saw a well groomed mum doing a last-minute rehearsal with her darling: “Can you briefly introduce yourself?”, “My name is XXX. I am 3 years old. I study in YYY kindergarten… blah blah blah….” Imagine how many times Mrs. Fielding is being forced to hear the same phrases in the 40 (or so) days of interview? It is just nothing more than a malfunctioned cassette recorder repeating annoying noise even the gal possessed an excellent accent.

Do encourage your child ASK a question during the interview. For a 3 years old kid, able to ask a meaningful question in front of a stranger is a strong sign of confidence. Moreover, I deeply believe a pleasant interview should be conducted interactively – communicating in both directions.
