其實你要問自己想要d咩... 因為kv 同sc 兩者都好唔同.
kv- 著重中文, 數學, 有較多的功課量, 上小學會好容易pickｕｐ到，紀律性比較高．

ｓｃ－　有分英普同英粵班，而英普既語境比較全面，兩者都是活動教學，少功課

我覺得選擇邊間ｋｇ是沒有一定答案的，　舉個例，小朋友已有良好英文語境，可以讀ｋｖ，因可能互補ｋｖ對英文既不足．．．．反之，如家長想以英語為先，　ｓｃ既英普班會適合小朋友
不過針冇兩個利，　要取捨是痛苦的，　不過兩者都是好的ｋｇ，只要按著自己的情況去選擇，　便是最適合小朋友了

如果要將兩者來比較, 一定是英普班在語境上比較全面....
其實簡單些去想, 就是主流班, 同國際班的分別....

Agree with Peggyp! I would suggest if there is adequate English support in the family, then you should choose KV. Do bear in mind, mastering good chinese is way more difficult than English.

Thanks for sharing .. my girl is studing in International school (N1).. She's on SC waiting list and accept by KV. At first, i also feel disappointed coz i think SC is more suitable for her due to her personalities. But now, i think KV is also good because she's weak in Chinese and Math. Her English is OK now and she speaks English in N1. On the other hand, i'm a bit worried her English would be backward after studing in KV.
Any suggestion? does she need to take extra-learning class for studying English?

how come everybody say SC Chinese easy and KV chinese difficult?
as i have a chance to compare both school's K1 Chinese textbook and indeed SC's chinese is not easy at all.....
the only difference is KV has many many copy book exercise for the kids to do.. but is that necessary to do so many copy book at 3 ar ? i would rather my kids learn more things from teacher in school rather than spending half of the class writing writing writing....

我有朋友個仔係KV到讀, KV教到佢個仔真係好有紀律, 同埋令佢自己自動同哂D功課, 佢地2公婆平時都做到好夜至番屋企, 都唔需要佢地點樣睇功課, 佢今年小一仲考到好多間名校, 包括, 英華, 聖保羅, 陳守仁同聖方濟各等等.....我問佢平時有冇補其它科, 佢話淨係英文一科....相反, 有個朋友個女係ST. CAT度讀, 佢話佢日日都要幫個女睇功課, 因為真係好多, (佢已經係全職MAMI), 同埋佢都有出去補數學, 但係今年淨係得宣道一個OFFER.

From BK Primary Section, it appears that the school quoted in your message would choose their students based on their interview performance more. 英華 and 陳守仁 definitely perfer outspoken, confidence and smart students. The boy you mentioned must be very smart and therefore chosen by so many good schools rather than just because he come from KV.

我又唔覺佢個仔好OUTSPOKEN個種喎, 佢見到我地大人同埋D冇咁熟D FD仲好似有D怕羞同慢熱, 但係佢就真係好有禮貌. 相反, 我朋友個女都幾主動同埋都幾多野講! 我諗有時INTERVIEW都有D講彩數同眼緣, 不覺基本功當然要有番咁上下先!

有時可能真係睇個人,我媽媽識得有個媽媽個仔,讀KV,但考3間學校既小一,無一間收,佢都不知幾擔心!

btw,讀KV既小朋友係咪in general都係性格比較乖,坐定定果種?因為我接觸過幾個kv既小朋友,都係呢類........

不喜勿插:
1. You may also need to compare the K2 and K3 homework in SC vs KV.
You would see that there is a big difference in Chinese and Math. eg Chinese, the type (level of difficulty) of words and the number of words (almost one page in KV, vers 12 - 16 characters in SC) is a big difference.
2. Please also note that for English, in SC the amount of time the NET spend with children in K1 vs K2 is different. (SC parents correct me if I wrong): K1 is dual classroom teacher and you see NET most time, but in K2, NET only stay there for grouping time (20 min per day).
So you may please look beyond K1.

How to do it one by one? Assuming the NET will stay in classroom 90 mins, each kid only entitles 3 mins each day?

KV連接傳統小學真係very good。小朋友升左上mcs，kv既同學仔中文非常之強。但是，sc既同學仔既英文和數學都唔弱。

但到了上小二以上，差不多每班頭3名都係有sc份。

今年呀女小一同班暫時最叻嘅係St. Cat畢業生，次次都係99分或100分。不過呀女同樣係St. Cat畢業生，郤差一大截，但總算OK。

Agree, I prefer KV too.(cos my hubby is a native speaker). My friends' kids studied/ies in these 2 schools, KV is more good reputation compare with SC from their comments.

As far as I know, it's also the case for St. Cat. girls to stay top in St. Mary & Good Hope (but not in DGJS). For St. Cat. boys, they are doing quite good in Ying Wah and St. Joe.

One point to add. Those top P2/P3 pupils in Lasalle and HK Wah Yan are from KV. So, I agree that SC and KV will have top academic alumni in primary schools.
