CKY - IB
SMC - 一絛龍
LMC- english good, 60% non chinese student,平民國際
可否比Ｄ意見 ??

I Am thinking about TSL vs SMC. Anyway, my preference is SMC.

For your case, I would like CKY and SMC more. Both of them have sec. school section.
How about the location?? It can be a reason for your choice too.

I'm thinking about SMC and LA ( Lutheran Academy in Yuen Long which will become an IB school in the future).

I like CKY the most. Which provides a very good language environment for students and very active ways of teaching and learning.

For SMC, it's also very good in terms of language, but I heard that it's quite '谷' from year 3 onwards.

I haven't applied CKY, cos' it too expensive for me as I have 2 kids.

For the syllbus, SMC is quite good. but I will hestiate every time when I think about their "seminar talk "which held on Aug. Why they spend a lot of time to explain the "traffic, MTR map ???? talking about the "IPA " part is ok but which is too long...
For CKY, I still worried about the IB syllbus......many project...i need to support her a lot...cant go back to traditional school
For LMC, just like a local international school, 60% non-chinese, PLK, cheaper, line up with Nga Po ling, their student had japanese, Korean, Indian,.....etc quite attractive ...!!!

CKY 小學好似係 Yr1- Yr5, Yr6已經等於中一, 如果LMC的學制是跟傳統一樣, 那麼讀完LMC再轉入CKY中一, 是否好像repeat Yr.6?

CKY, in terms of langauge environment. Met the students, they are really "bilingual"

CKY 係 5年小學, 5年中學

CKY小學唔係行 IB, 要到預科先係行全IB喎.

佢地係於 YEAR 10 時, 安排學生考 IGCSE (英國會考文憑), 先開始再讀兩年嘅預科IB課程.

如果佢係小學開始行IB, 一定唔止咁嘅價錢. 大家要留意, 千祈唔好攪錯.

I have no ideas on LMC as not met any kids from this school

Some schools provide bilingual education, but not all kids can speak good Mandarin and English, only can write well..

But CKY, they can both write and speak well, that's the curriculum they design as not according to the traditional model, they have more native speaking teachers and more creative curriculum designs.

Met kids from TSL, some speak really good Mandarin and English, but most do not, yet can write good Emglish

The teachers are not really "native speakers" of Mandarin and English, they used to have good native speaker teachers, but the good one had gone to run his own private tutoring centre, the recent ones are not that good as the past ones.

The mandarin and French teachers are not "very native"..

But the kids are good mannered and with good motivation in learning...and they are real kids, happy and expressive like kids, not "small adults" like other modelled trainings from some other schools.
