阿小姐答測驗題目既時候好似有眼花症咁! 好似小一英測份卷都好易好straight forward, 夠膽死重組句子個度排啱,但dup錯字, 扣咗四分....... 作句 I have a pencil case 漏咗case 個字!!!!!!!! 番屋企仲識笑住同你講, "哈, 原來我漏咗個case字!".............
數學又係........ xx比xx多, 可以睇錯xx比xx少.......都已經好長氣, 講到上校車前都話:"要覆卷, 要小心....", 測完問佢又話識哂........ 我諗以後小姐講野都要打番個九折......

一年班? 但英文卷未派喎.....
唔緊要, 不要嚇怕她. 其實平時做下補充練習, 可以習慣問題形式. 小一真係要適應架, 我個女都係.

No need to 激死 la! This just shows that your daughter is so confident in herself, which is a good thing to maintain. 勿打沉她!

Learning to avoid careless mistakes is one of the techniques in tackling all kinds of exams and test, and is part of the learning process. Allowing them room for improvement will help them to be humble and motivated to hunt for higher marks. On the contrary, if they get very high marks in the very beginning of their school life, in my opinion, they may be over-confident and lack of motivation to improve.

我家大小姐有個特異功能，某0的字由P.1寫錯，一路錯到P.4都仲錯，好0野呀！

個“橋”字，寫九億幾次都係“禾”字邊；
個“蛹”字，寫九萬幾次都係寫唔啱右邊同你埋口；
個“龍”字，右邊永遠同你寫两劃。

仲竟然提議：媽咪，横掂你提極我我都寫錯，不如下次唔好提可能我會寫啱。。。

Thanks a lots for your comfort and sharing......... 尋日科中文我最担心........ 小一英數易, 中文難.  我d friend d 仔女個個係唔同小學讀小一..... 個個英數90+, 係科中文80+.

可唔可以用d故事方法令阿女容易記d, e.g. 橋, "橋係木做架, 用禾乾草肯定lum..........."  "dragon"  " dragon 有三隻腳麻, 兩隻腳行得太慢了", etc......... Haha, don't know if it works.....

Is your son's progress ok now?  My son now seldom write the numbers the other way round but still is a slower learner than other same age's kids... I m thinking abt let him repeat k.3 but worry that the birth rate ll be increase a yr later........... sigh, what a choice!
I think I need to learn how to bear my girl making careless mistakes in test and exams. I haven't checked handbook content via internet and let her pack up her school bag now.  So far, she didn't miss anything.

我已經有比補充佢做, 仲自己作咗十條應用題比佢做..... 咁先激死我.......
英文卷我地第日派咗了, 但係數就成個星期後先派...... 而家最驚科中文......

U meant the little test that they did last month or the test that they just did on Wed? We still haven't got the test that did on Wed back yet....... I think it takes time to mark.

No. That was exactly the first formal test they did on last Wednesday! I was surprised to see they got it back this quick.

Wah! We got the test back yesterday. She told me that only one of the girls in her class got 90+. And she is the one! I was very very suprised! But I still found around 8 marks careless stuff there..... sigh.......

我自己有個字到中學(...其實到而家都係) 都不能一寫就出來,要兩個都寫吓再睇下邊個"順眼":
"版" 字. 左邊永遠分不到 "片" 定 "爿"

yongxin, 如果我個女好似你個女咁樣同我講, 又真係比佢激親. 我就會捉佢去補習班等人地"教訓"佢. 哈哈.

Actually it is quite difficult for them to finish 6 pages of Chinese test in only 45 min.
It also compose 2 comprehension, quite hard for P.1 students.

i remembered that the 1st semester of P1 was honeymoon for kids..... 2nd semester becomes more terrible.......Don't worry about English, they were all fine with it. However Chinese and Math, i remembered that my daughter told me that half of the students failed......

But the final exam would be alot easier, so the average score would go up again

i just gave up....and i just let my daughter to be "automatic" now.....now she will do her homework, she prepares her tests or exams....as long as she doesn't repeat or the lowest ranking....it's time for me to learn how to let go....

Agreed. Can't worry too much. But P1 is the foundation period for them to develop their reading and exam skills, coach them to prepare for exams. Gradually they will learn to prepare tests and exams themselves. Can't handhold them too much. Let them try on errors.
