感覺好似比人打發出嚟咁 ! not enough 5 mins...

My daughter say only ask her 2 simple question and then request her just read the book, then can leave .....

吾知係咪呀女答問題太簡短,明知佢吾啱,費事再問佢嘢...

Our interview last for 20 mins, maybe it is early in the morning so that there is no need to be rush. Other than Q&A, we also have some IQ test, matching, finding differences, etc.

Me too, my girl and her peer spent only 10 mins in the room. May I know which day was your 2nd interview and how many people are there in the room? Thanks

It may not be a bad thing at all. I heard from a P1 talk last year. Sometimes Mrs Dai just ask 1-2 questions because she has already decided to admit your daughter looking at the portfolio

Normally,i think all of the pairs only 10 mins per round,don't be scare,take it easy!

hi mictwin,

my daughter was also interviewed yesterday.

she said Mrs Tai talked to her first and the teacher talked to the other girl. But there is no dice thrown.

she can remember what Mrs Tai asked her but cannot recall what the teacher has asked her.

I am worrying about this too, as my girl has an elder sibling who is currently studying in a well known government subsidized school that will for sure offer a place to her under the allocation system, and the DGJS's headmistress is aware of this during the interview.
Have you heard of any similar cases in school that may relieve my worries?

Yes, I know a friend who's exactly the same case as yours. Last year, the girl got accepted by DGJS even though she already secured a place in a well-known Net 41 school (because of elder sibling studying there) in the first round.

Indeed, my elder kid is also studying in a Net 41 school which is a SKH school, maybe we are referring to the same school.

Anyway, do you think Mrs. Dai is aware of your friend’s case? (I mean, during the interview or selection process, she knew that the candidate has secured a place in a good school due to the elder sibling).

As it is not a piece of information that required on the application form as to which school the sister/brother is studying in (except if she is at DGJS/DGS), normally Mrs. Dai should have no way to make known of this unless she asked directly to the candidate during the interview.
Do you think your friend’s daughter was asked about this during last year’s interview?

May I ask if the girl was from a famous kinder like SC, KV, etc ? Please don't feel obliged if it is not convenient to share this. I ask this because my girl is not from the top-tier kinders but she has a fairly good portfolio with some prizes... I'm just wondering if kindergarten is a key factor for consideration and estimating her chance...
