So happy to know my gal gets an a.m. offer at Stafford. My gal got a grade "A" for the interview... that is the mark for the head teacher to make an offer.

This is my 2nd time to call up the staff for result.... luckily, this time, the staff is so nice to check for me... as I told her I was really so nervous for it... and tomorrow would be the due date to pay deposit at another kinder..... I dun wanna to waste $$ ...:) (what a shame I said this).

She said the letter is to be released tomorrow or Fri...probably i may get the letter next Mon.

多謝哂...希望你都收到好消息啦......如真係好心急 , 可試致电問下 , 我都係核核突突咁在兩日內打咗兩次 , 今次我話要找陳主任 , 佢就好好人自已幫我check名單 , 如有interview登記時那個ref no (staff比咗个sticker with ref no...put on 面見証)...就易D check...不然用名check都可以喎. Good luck !

點解你地甘好...可以打電話就可以問到結果...我今早都有打電話去問...個位職員好勞氣甘同我講好多form要搞...會開始寄出...但我問可以可以幫我查下結果...佢又好勞氣甘同我講話好多野做...只係話會遲d幫我睇下...我就隨即講埋當日面試編號和留下mobile no...個位職員就立即cut我線...我知佢好多野做..亦都知道可能好多家長心急打電話黎問結果...但我覺得點解要甘既態度...因我已經唔該前唔該後...但都有甘既feedback...好無奈...

請問大家係問邊位可以甘快回答到結果呢? 唔該哂

I only called in & dunno whom the staff was ... maybe, there are too many enquiries about the result... and the staff is sicked of handling so many checkings with phone calls.

The staff was very very nice to me... and even told me the grading of my gal... maybe, I was the first calling them.

Be patient, you may be getting the letter tomorrow.... dun worry too much !!

anyone has ides on school calendar (esp summer holiday)? I am wondering why they charge 12 mths school fee.... anyway, i like this school a lot...see you all soon.

HK$ 1,800 ..same charge as St. Nicholas.
Maybe, other kinders charge less for snack.

For York : The snack fee is even HK$ 1,900 / term.... it is rather expensive.

To Kwans : haha ... u've got a good memory wor... which int'l kinder are u looking for ?

KBCK's pm class will start at 12:30 pm... that will be too rush. If KBCK's class is a.m., then I just afraid the gal will get tired and cannot learn well in another kinder.

Further, my gal is small B (nov 08) and does not eat well... she is still eating her own food... I have to bring her rice / congee together (soup is a MUST for lunch & dinner). It is not possible for her to have quick lunch.

If your kid can finish lunch within 15 mins... and then 15 mins travelling near those 2 kinders and changing clothes...then u may consider studying 2 kinder...

Firstly, I planned for KBCK is its good environment for training up Eng oral. But now, my gal can only speak Eng rather than Cantonese... so I'd better train her Cantonese instead... I will target for traditional primary but not int'l primary.

How's your situation ? Possible to study at two kinders ? Pls share.

Another point : If the kid really studies at Stafford, she may need to attend Cambridge class in K2.
Further, K2 kids are most likely joining all sorts of additional classes for certificate so as to fighting for primary seats. So it may only be workable to study at 2 kinders at the same time in K1 only.

Anyway, I may still try to attend interview at KBCK in Jan / Feb 2011 (but I've submitted the application in Dec 2000 for p.m. class (2011/12)).

Hey, how about your kid ? Can he / she communicate well in Eng ? The interview at KBCB is purely in Eng and the principal expects kids can really understand Eng..........

Honestly speaking, at beginning, why did i start up Eng with my gal.... ? The reason is for KBCK.....haha :)

You get Stafford p.m. offer.... then did u apply for KBCB a.m. ? The timing may be fine for u :
KBCB - 9:00 to 12:00
Stafford - 13:40 to 16:40
However, the kid will really be tired. BTW, where do u leave ah ?
我曾諗過如中間有1hr40mins.... 放學 , 吃飯 (要吃得叻叻), 午睡 , 換衫也可勉強應付 , 如你自己揸車 , 就更好.
但下午返stafford, 真恐very sleepy不能集中學習

But for me, I applied stafford for a.m. .... last year, i submitted the application to KBCB for p.m...... so I really have the timing problem.
但又諗K2開始要集訓 , 也好難讀兩間kinder :(

其实幾時入form都得 , 早D入應有些优先 , 但有朋友上年11月才報 , 都收咗 , 正讀K1 & also 另一kinder , 所以 , 唔駛驚. 但聽講大部分Chinese小朋友起初都選擇唔講嘢 , 可能講唔到 , 又或唔慣全英環境 , 但而家的情況, 我就唔知道.

最緊要你阿B聽得明英文 , 唔識講但做到指令也可以 , 校長當然會問埋及了解家庭狀況及家長嘅expectation.

How's yr situation ?
For me, I am just worrying about the timing problem and if the kid can really fine with studying two kinders at the same time. If she really takes KBCB, then Stafford must be changed to p.m.

原來如此. 我阿仔讀緊boxhill am, 佢返學之後, 明顯鍾意講英文多過中文, 但唸住比佢讀傳統小學, 所以要同佢轉校. 其實stafford 收左佢我已經好開心, 不過如果佢返am, 我就容易d幫佢安排下午的playgroup/ 興趣班.

乜am得咁少位?我唸住佢應該am多位d添.

After interview, I called to Stafford for how many seats are available for 2011/12. The staff told me 50-55 seats for both am and pm...... So in total, I think the seats may be around 100-110 seats (i.e. 4 classes).

Anyway, I believe the earlier you request for changing from pm to am.... the chance will be bigger as someone may give up the am offer if they have better choices.

Can u tell sth about 多元智能班 ? How's it ? is it just a one-hour Cambridge or other interest class ? I dun have much idea...but it is not a MUST to join, right ? at the moment, I only prefer the Cambridge Eng Class...

BTW, I agree to yr hubby..... 我都係見步行步 ..... maybe, few mths later, our kids dun need much nap time ... anyway, let wait for if we get some more offer first... as KBCB's interview will be in Jan / Feb.... most kinders in Kln Tong will hv released the offer.

Agree... I won't hv any objection in York.... But among York & Stafford, I also prefer Stafford though it is a small kinder. But the campus is nice and staffs are nice too.

Hv u heard anything about they will stop teaching 30 mins earlier before school hour ends (for school bus issue)..... ? I wanna to raise such a questions to the staff over the phone too.

Anyway, 上次briefing後 , Miss Chan 再解釋上課前或後的additional classes唔啱時間, 有好多小朋友也不參加 , 大不了上Sat class仲好 .

Mabello6: 你囡囡是小b嗎?會在那一間boxhill 上學?可能有機會做同學仔呢. Boxhill train 英文很好, 一踏進學校, 無論校長, 老師還是職員, 都全英語/普通話. 師生比例很好. 我仔仔那班由12人到現在15人, 一名外籍老師和一名本地老師做班主任, 另有一名外藉教學助理. 還有一至兩名嬸嬸在班房外stand by. 人手充裕得很. 只是中文時間很少,若是target 國際學校, 也是一個不錯的選擇.
