我睇左好多呢道既文又去左英基既網頁, 但仍然係一頭霧水, 希望各位家長好心幫下我解說.感謝.

本人有一個3歲女兒在英普幼稚園唸K1, 此外有一個1.5歲兒子在tutor time 上Playgroup.

1.其實如果父母係好地道既香港人, 英文水平好麻麻, 小朋友能申請入讀英基既幼稚園嗎?有機會收嗎?
2.如果小朋友在英普幼稚園唸K1, 又能申請入讀英基既小學和有機會收嗎?

1.其實如果父母係好地道既香港人, 英文水平好麻麻, 小朋友能申請入讀英基既幼稚園嗎?有機會收嗎?

I applied for ESF primary (Beacon Hill) last year and they told me there were so many applicants that they could not even admit all the students from ESF Kindergarten. I still applied regardless but in the end, not even an interview could be arranged. They do reserve every year a few spaces for overseas families coming to HK.

Therefore, I hardly believe they would admit children from other international kindergartens. It may be easier to apply for G2 a year later, because some students may leave HK and free up the seats.

nataliepsc,

your child is in Cat 2, right? As much as i know, all Cat1 students from ESF kindergarten were invited for interview last year. Some were not offered a place as they failed the interview despite they are in cat 1, but most of them (i think it's more than 90%)did get the offer.
All Cat 1+2 students from esf kindergarten were invited for the interview at RC (if they did apply), again, some failed as they don't speak English fluently but I know almost all could get the offer! RC is a good choice too, just that it's a bit more expensive and have no record in its academic results so it's not the parents' first choice.
