Hi All KTS parents,

My daughter is lucky enough to have a second interview and I would like to find out more about this school from the parents.  Would you please comment on the following:

1.  Is you child happy there?
2.  Are the teachers nice?
3.  How many pieces of homework are there each day?
4.  How long does it take each day to complete all the homework?
5.  How often are the quizzes and exams?

I like the school environment a lot when I went there during the first interview.  I love the grass in the middle of the campus and the goldfish pond that reminds me of Ocean Park.

I don't think there is an absolute answer for this question because it varies from different kids.

In KTS, there is "self-study" lesson (about 35 minutes) in each afternoon. If your kid is self-disciplined enough, then he / she might even be able to finish a large portion of his / her homework in school.

For my son, he can only do little homework (20-30%) in school, and he is not the type of "quiet and sit properly" kids, although he can work quite fast. But even with this, it normally takes him about 1 hour to finish the remaining homework assignments at home each day.

In general, the amount of homework in KTS P1 is not that much (4-5 assignments per day). I am not sure whether the loading will change a lot in P2 or so because my son is in P1 now.

My son is studying P1 in KTS. See my quick answers below:

1.  Is you child happy there?
Ans: Yes. We never told me that he doesn't want to go to school.

2.  Are the teachers nice?
Ans.: Teachers are kind and care about kids. School gives support to parents in nuturing kids from home and it emphasis a lot on school - family cooperation. This is something that I feel really good.

3.  How many pieces of homework are there each day?
Ans.: See Yanamami's sharing

4.  How long does it take each day to complete all the homework?
Ans.: See my other reply as well ... It really depends on kids. In my son's case, it takes about 1 hour each day to finish the homework.

5.  How often are the quizzes and exams?
Ans.: See Yanamami's sharing
