今日路過,仲要加埋落雨,見到D家長又攞傘,又排隊,又照顧個小朋友,出面又塞車,行人路無得企,又有交通警,明日仲有KV都IN,唔洗諗開車去,一定無位泊,加上獅隧星期六一定塞車,早D去到又無地方企,點算?

我都知道天寒地凍再加上細雨綿綿再加上有架私家車,唔駛出來"應用"一下,好像有點對不起架私家車,但請為路面交通著想,那條小路不是只為in st.cat或kv的家庭而設,為人為己,開少一日車也算是為環保出一點力!!!!!!!

There were lots of people this morning, and yes police was there warning all the drivers to move away. Parents & kids had to line up. We were 10 min early but still had to wait outside in the rain & wind for about 20 min (and my daughter started to have a terrible runny nose non-stop..which only made it even more challenging). Once you're inside, things are well organized & the teachers are very nice.

However, my daughter was not in good mood today... & not answering teacher's questions at all.. saw the other kids - most of them were polite & proactive in answering & completed tasked assigned.

We are hopeless for sure

Interview content:

Firstly, group interview - 4 kids sit at a rectangular table and play lego.  Parent sits behind the table.  Teachers observe the kids and write their comments on the form.

Then, each kid will go to another room with parent to take individual interview with one teacher.  Questions asked:
1. What's your name
2. Teacher took out a towel, toothbrush, and biscuit and asked the child what are they and what for.
3.  Colors (blue, red, yellow) matching and ask the child to tell what each color is.
4.  Ask the child to put some beads through a thread provided.
5.  Ask parent why choose the school and what would you do if your child fights with another child in the park.
6.  Bye bye and give sticker to child.

Exactly the same questions as yours, except that we did not have the beads game but replaced with another task of using a spoon to put food from one bowl to another.

My daughter did all these but did not answer most of the questions, did not thank the teacher, nor did she say goodbye.. certified! She was suddenly not behaving this whole week. KV interview on Sun - also hopeless!

We were asked the same set of questions and games except that the teacher did NOT ask me any questions ie expections or why apply this school etc.

Does anyone know if it means we're certified?

just take it easy, kids are v observant and they can sense pressure. I think not many kids can perform at their normal level given the setting and bad weather. the important thing is to keep a positive attitude and praise the things they did well.

The tasks are really difficult (like putting beads using a thread / string, getting food from one bowl to another using spoon.... or even what the towel, toothbrush, biscuit are for.....) ... even kids may not be able to express the answers orally .....

Anyway, just take it for a trial .... as experience.
What I am worried is about the bad traffic and bad weather.... that would definitely affect the mood / feelings of both kids and parents....

Our interview time is 9:30am today but we could only go inside at 9:45am.  Came out at around 10:30am.

Our interview questions are a bit different:
1.  What's your name?
2.  How old are you?
3.  Who bring you to the school today?
4.  Build blocks and match colours
5.  Pick out a picture which is the same as the teacher's
6.  Where is your eye/ear?  What's its purpose?
7.  Show you a cup and ask you what it is and its purpose
8.  Show you a spoon and ask you what it is... use the spoon to scoop some macaroni from one bowl to another
9. Questions for parent: why choose st.cat? what will you do if a kid takes your kid's toy and makes him cry?

Don't know why asked my son so many questions... ai... fail for sure...

No good morning, no goodbye, no thank you, so impolite to the teachers!
Oh! My girl is big girl and can do all the tasks normally. But she was in bad mood today...

My husband takes my son for interview at 3:30 pm today. Guess what, the school staffs told my husband that they didn't receive my reply letter

What's the heck!! I did mail the reply form back immediately after i received the interview slip. It's a nightmare after i received my husband call. I still don't know what they are doing since my husband hangs up on me very shortly after the call.

It was a hard day for me today. Arrive there already people lining up almost to the next street. Policemen and Police car are there. Car parking there got tickets.

Me and my son lining up for almost one hour - nothing for him to do. making him tired and me also as I have to avoid him going here and there. We were lining on the street and raining all along.

During the interview, he take away peoples toys and crash the cars so some logos all fall on the floor. The teacher is obviously not happy but the logo time goes on for upto 15 minutes before we are asked to wait upstairs for the one-to-one interview. There we wait another 15 minutes and he is not patient again and I have to hold him nicely.
He is also sleepy. How can a kid be in good mood after so long waiting time?

Obviously we will fail after so exhausted "interview" process.

I've attended the PTH interview as well. after the normal interview, we were asked to wait at the other classroom for few mins. And then the PTH teacher asked:
1) My child to follow what she said, e.g How are you? Good afternoon. etc
2) She gave him three fruits: banana, orange, apple, then asked him to say in PTH one by one (follow her), finally, asked him to put in back one by one;
3) do the actions by following her instruction, say, clap your hands, touch your head etc;
4) the teacher asked me the reason why chosen the school ( I answered in PTH);
5) finally, say goodbye to teacher

that's it for the PTH interview.

My interview time is 3pm, I arrived there at 2:45pm, started the interview at 3:20pm, and leave at 3:45pm.

It was really hard due to bad weather and too many ppl and cars there. My boy also not in good mood, as he felt sleepy. He even didn't sat on his own chair during the interview but answered most of the questions. I didn't have any hope for it, since I found many kids doing very well during the interview. But it was an good experience for my lovely boy, anyway, he did his best already!

Don't drive... take public transport is better.

My son was also no hope too.. I am also feeling a bit down.. too many questions need him to answer and do. But i think he did so far so good at the playing toy section and Cantonese section. But PTH....no hope!!

That's exactly what my son was being asked during the interview... he was able to answer them all right... however, I heard many parents said that answer all question right doesn't mean they will accept you!!!! :X

Our questions for kids were same but tasks were a bit different.

1) 3 lillipop style picture cards shown: a Fish, two same pic with two forks. Kid need to pick and give the different one (the fish card) to the teacher.

2) 3 small lego like blocks (red, blue & yellow) need to name the color (my kid gave Eng names, the teacher accepted) and need to match with 3 same color cards.

3) Put 5 small paper balls into a 益力多樽.

Qs for parent:
1) Y choose St. Cat?
2) If yr kid lose temper in street, how would you handle.

We were 3:30 slot and arrived at 3:10 but only need to wait about 10 mins to go into the school. Then waited another 10 mins to retrieve our application record and waited about another 10 mins to start the interview (toy playing part) then can go to the individual interview right ahead.

It is good that if parent can bring simple readings for kids while waiting, I saw a mom really caring and read story (Oxford Reading Tree, the book itself is real light and thin, won't too heavy) to her kid during the wait and it did kept the kid interested but not borded.

I arrive 10mins earlier than the interview time. The queue was so long that I queue up starting from the end of the street. It was raining heavily and I wait outside the school for 30 mins, eating wind and getting wet. After getting into the school then wait for another 20-30 mins. By that time my b is already from good mood to bad mood, refuse to do most of the things that the teacher asked to although she know them well.

I cannot blame the school for poor arrangement because they have tried their best. I just say this is a game for those better tempered child who can still perform their usual self after an hour of eating wind/getting wet/boring waiting.

I am very upset.

My daughter also didn't performed well and didn't talked much during the English interview.

We've attended PTH interview as well. Although she did quite good in this section, I still thought it's hopeless for her to get a seat!

Anyway, it was a good experience for both of us. I was so glad that she sat in her own chair during group playing time and played with legos nicely.

Questions for my kid almost same but tasks were a bit different.

2) Use a spoon to transfer the penne from one bowl to another.
3) Need to recognize glass, crayon and spoon

Qs for parent:
1) Y choose St. Cat?
2) If ur kid doesn't share the toy with another kid, how will you handle?

今日得我一個陪亞ｂ去，一個人抱住亞ｂ，又要攞雨傘，條隊又長．．．．唉！

亞ｂ當然等到唔耐煩啦，一入到去已經話要走啦！

雖然都叫做答／做晒所有問題，但係反應較慢又成日話走啦走啦咁！攪到連in果位老師最後都要同佢講：好啦！好啦！可以走啦！

That's what worry me now. My baby will have the interview tomorrow afternoon. I'm scared in the weather like today, even adult won't want to wait outside, let alone a 2 year old. I'm dreading that I shall bring along a sling to hold her. So we won't have to chase her around in the rainy weather.

Yes.... u are better than us.... we have 3 interviews tomorrow... I really can't imagine how bad the situation will be at rainny day. We even have to hold umbrella, carry bag for bb stuffs (even lunch for bb), bb cart, .... the worst is that once my gal gets on the ground, she will keep running .... what I have to remind all parents is KEEPING SAFE for your kids or all kids around you, esp of the traffic and the cars.

Though my boy is a big child, he lose his temper after waiting so long time. Playing time he behaved well but interview time he did not willing to talk much. I can see the teacher's 'face' was not good. Maybe failed also.

Tell the truth... Quite disappointed about today's arrangement!!
it is reallyyyy harsh for parents and kids to wait under rain on the street which cars are moving next to u!! Horrible experience!! For me... As need to protect my girl... Headache now... Dunno is it worth or not!!

我個仔係0712, 今日都去左Interview,都in得幾好,之前的玩玩具,同之後面試部份都做得幾好,舊年阿仔都有in,就覺得今年的問題比去年淺好多.

it was really tough today, due to the bad weather and long waiting time made me and my son both in a not so good mood and turned out a bad temper myself.

my son is a super big B, dec 07. he didnt preform well today, i was very disappointed.
during the PTH interview, i even told him to sit properly and give answer to teacher's questions in a not so nice tone of voice in front of the PTH teacher. then the PTH teacher said, doesnt matter, Mrs. dont give him any pressure

i was so regretted for that as i lost my temper.

anyway, all mothers and babes, still have some more interviews to go, cheer up!!

Don't know if the school would pick a kid sitting quietly and just play the Lego by his own or a kid who has some interaction with his parent? Besides, my kid can only answer 80% of the questions. Would there be any chance?

只可一位進入....不過老師會通融"大肚"既媽媽...俾埋爸爸入去幫手...我前面個位家長就係...

預先同小朋友去左 vv 先...因為係出面等...好難去 tiolet..esp.. 如果你自己一個帶佢入去..

準備D小道具去氹吓小朋友...我地都等左成 30 - 45 mins 先有得 in..成程同佢玩..保持開心既mood... 保持冷靜....小朋友 feel 到我地既緊張....

希望明天陽光普照...大家唔駛又擔"姐",,,又要照顧呀B....

我細囡今日in, 我覺得相對３年前大囡in 係難左。又要考小朋友獨立又要問咁多問題。

仲要問家長點handle 小朋友與其他人搶玩具會如個handle..... 這個問題吾係小一入學問題咩！

我個女今日都有in,老師都有問哂之前的家長講的所有問題,name,age,who comes with you today,"口"在那裡,"口"的用途,顏色,配對,找不同,用spoon transfer 通粉 to the other bowl......etc.
問我小朋友與其他人搶玩具時會如何handle...,點解choose st.cat...etc.
雖然今日是阿女幾次的interview中,精神最差的一次,但她都答對哂所有問題,我覺得最後收唔收佢都好,我都知道佢盡咗力,都應該繼續鼓勵佢............

各位家長,你們都要肯定自己小朋友的努力,唔好太擔心收唔收的問題啦! 互勉之!

我個女都係, 而家37.3, 兩行鼻涕無停過, this weekend都唔知點in KV ...其實唔只係出面等既時候, 就算係interview o個幾間房都好凍

, 唔知點解會開風扇, 因為我都覺得好寒凍..
