my son was studied last yr in international stream, overall the teachers are nice and he's happy to go to school every day
I applied a bit late last time so we have a group interview with other 2 kids by one teacher. the teacher gave some toys (building blocks for him to stack up, push a little ball on the table then ask my son to catch and roll back to the teacher.....others I forgot)
overall the interview was relaxed like playing game, and the teaher will ask some general questions about the kids and our family etc.
I applied for this school is becux of it's bigger campus, compare with other school in the district. But the international stream has to pay abt $3300 which is quite expensive, reminded that the nursery classes are all stay in one big classroom on the ground floor so the int'l stream and local stream students will use the same resources in the classroom

If you are looking for the nursery, it is good. But K1 I will prefer to apply other school for my son to have a better chance for the primary. If you are going to have the lucky draw for P1, then it's a good choice for the kids to study happily in the school :)

yesmammy, 請問德福(國際班)是雙班主任制嗎? 如何分配上英語和普通話的時間呢? 英語有教拼音嗎? 是傳統方法教學還是較活動式的呢?

There are 2 NET teachers (one Asian and one Indian) and one PTH teacher in the inter'l stream. Most of the time the NET teacher will lead the class and will have a PTH sessions for the kids. (I forgot the time allocation)

They have a 活動式teaching method that the kids will sing songs and teachers will tell story etc. They dont emphasis on English phonics, but they still taught my son the enlgish letters and numbers. At the end of each semester, they will give u a porfolio of yr kid. The teacher will also call me time to time to talk abt my kid's progress at school.

Overall, my son enjoyed the school in Telford K and he loved to go to school everyday. Even though he's studying K1 in other school, he still remember the teachers in Telford K and want to visit the teachers again.

Only one thing is the NET teachers are not really as "native" as the others when they speak english.

For the nursery, I just want to find a tidy and clean campus and nice teachers, Telford K meets my requirement.

P.S.

They also has English playgroup (by NET western lady) and Cantonese playgroup for the kids age from 18 months. Price are relatively resonable and each lesson is 1.5hr. My son joined the playgroup for half a year before he start the nursery class there. It helped. :)
