今日去了高主教面試，在場其中一位老師說有超過1100人申請。由於肇輝台的路非常狹窄，令附近道路非常擠塞，我們坐的士僅能在指定時間5分鐘前到達，幸好面試遲了35分鐘開始，我們有時間讓他冷靜下來和與他去洗手間。

1 面試老師親自出來到等候室叫我們和小兒一同進去面試室(等候室在面試室旁邊的課室)。
2 老師先問爸爸對學校有甚麼期望，然後問媽媽怎樣安排兒子的時間，特別是學校有一定的功課量。
3 老師請我們離開面試室，小兒繼續面試。
4 根據小兒覆述，問過他的問題有：
(1) 你叫甚麼名字
(2) 你在哪月份出生
(3) 你家的電話號碼
(4) 用普通話說出一至十
5 問題過後，在同一面試室由其他面試老師面試的同學 (合共三人) 一起砌puzzle，然後就走了。

)...佢話講左好多野喎...老師問我地學校來緊推行資優教育...問我地點睇...問阿女喜歡學咩...問阿女家陣學緊咩...我諗阿女都係打定輸數

問家長嗰 part 同你都幾相似。至於呀女, 就問佢:
1. What's your name.
2. 你点嚟呢度? 你 daddy呢?
3. 你住邊? 響邊度讀書？
4. 知唔知呢間學校叫乜名? (呀女答咗公主教呀!

)
4. 比幅圖佢, 有好多數字, 叫佢找出及用英文讀出 1-15。
5. 同3個小朋友一齊切puzzle。

我個囝除左妳哋話既問題外,有一版中文同一版英文叫他讀喎,D文字係冇圖架,他話好多都唔識喎

而妳哋話之後既砌puzzle他就冇做

用英文由１讀到１５，都係喺一堆數字揾返１至２０出黎。
跟住又係三個小朋友砌Ｐｕｚｚｌｅ。

我好欣賞依間學校ｄ學生，好有禮貌！有個家長喺度考個英文大使ｄ英文，個學生問得好祥細！讚！

我個女都差不多(問題),比例上好似男多過女申請者好多.唔知女生有冇著數?好Impressed普通話大使的國語好好,以為家中講國語,佢話廣東話.應該只是one round interview?

我阿仔沒有問英文同普通話問題, 全程都是廣東話,問簡單問題同埋只是找出1-15數字, 我有啲懷疑佢地預先已Scan過啲附加資料及成績表來衡量洗唔洗再問英或普, 因為我阿仔是在國際班的幼稚園讀書, 你地有無甘既想法?

父母個part問我女星期六日去邊度玩,我女有咩課外活動,除著學業成績外,對學校仲有咩期望,假如我女響學校犯錯,我地會點樣處理.
小朋友個part我女就叫佢讀出1-12既英文,叫佢同小朋友一齊砌puzzle,有副圖隱藏著一d動物,叫佢地搵出來,跟住就出來.
佢地d學生表現斯文有禮,值得一讚.

The teacher asked parents 2 Qs only:

1. Why choose Raimondi
2. What is our activities during weekend

For my child :

1. What did you do during weekend?
2. What did you usually do at home?
3. Find out 1-10 and read 1-10 in English
4. puzzle

Everyone asked the similar stuff, just wonder what criteria did the School use to choose the right kids

我都一樣覺得間學校的學生很純品,
亦很有禮貌,
之前亦去過拔萃及其它之類的名校,
總括來說,
這間給我的感覺最好,
雖然不是最top的名校,
但都是不錯的學校,
而且感到學校的校風應該不錯.

No 2nd int required. Result to be announced on or before 15 Nov by post. Once you accept their offer, you will have to give up the lucky draw.

請教大家, 當日所見, 除地下有一露天操場外, 還有甚麼設備的? 學校係新建? 定只是把以前的聖瑪加利書院重新油過?

Agreed!

After the interview, my C6 ranked this school from No.3 to No.1!!! But also have the same concern that the school lacks open area for kids....

傳統教學, 功課多, 我問過啲大使, 每班有成35人一班添, 都好competitive吓, 要有心理準備呢

Your child has some very good qualities. Congratulations for raising such a good child!

Parents need to be the child's primary communication channel when he/she has any grievances or pressure. We need to create an environment where the child feels secure to share their feelings. We should not remove all the sources of pressure from the child because sooner or later he/she will have to learn how to handle it. (Cf. lack of ability to tackle pressure for many teenagers these days.) Some pressure can be a motivation for child, if the parents can guide the child properly.

It would be nice if this question was asked before the interview.

Parents' answers also count in their score, according to the interviewer.

As the questions asked to the children seem quite straight-forward and almost every child played puzzle, I suppose the child's responsiveness and the quality of his/her answers as well as ability to cooperate with peers would be important factors to consider as far as children's performance is concerned.

Just my 2 cents based on my short stay (45 minutes) there and some common sense.

Just 8 schools. I didn't apply for some of the schools with topics on BK, but these topics have some general parenting issues for me to "blow water" la.

I have already mentioned my son's current results in one of the topics. I'll let you find out yourself. :D

多謝你讚佢, 事實上, 我還不太確定應幫佢走邊種教學模式(活動 or 傳統). 不過, 你講得都好有道理, 適當既壓力係要有. 唯有放鬆 d 面對......

Not too many la...considering:

(1) one of my friends applied for 15 schools last year
(2) we don't have any secured place in any schools as my son is an only child, I am not a graduate of any DSS/private schools, and we refused to gain undeserved marks on the discretionary stage (e.g. baptism)

I still don't feel comfortable on having a place from one of these schools after all. We only have 5 remaining chances.

Quality (of performance in interviews) counts, not quantity (number of schools applied for). The larger number of schools applied for probably only give us a psychological effect on the likelihood of having a place.

We also applied 8 DSS/Private schools. I think that is not too much. She did not resist, and mostly enjoys these interviews, so far.

Last year in our school, a boy apply 8 primary schools. He got unacceptable letters from SPCC, Stephen Stanley, HKUGA, St paul boys. However, he was accepted by DBSPD. So I am thinking quantity is better than quality in this game!
Don't feel frustrated. Good parents will get rewards as you said! Add oil.

亞仔去面試, 從來沒有失落失望的感覺, 覺得係去玩. 我地玩左好多場, 但場場的遊戲都唔同.... 越玩越有趣...
