Anyone received offer from YORK?

We received an offer from YORK today and the class will be starting from mid of Jan 2011. It is the international class. My son is "BIG" boy.

I believe your offer should be for 尖子班.
Those Big B can start the class soon straight away with an offer being given.

The staff said that we must confirm the offer on 25 Oct 2010. If we reject the offer, can we still get the offer to study K1 in Sep 2011.

But I appli for local stream am, not international stream. Don't know if they will do the same to capture more school fees? Caused they started N1 class newly. My B is also big B.

Did you report in your application form you are already studing in N1 class.

I also got the offer today is call "Head Start", but I applied the local stream and asking can my son change to int'l stream as I confused the different between these two stream, the staff told me all studying material are special for this class and that will be efficient for them if study to K3.

Me too... no news yet for my small b (interviewed on 9/25). I am disappointed about that.

So I'd better expect good results coming from forthcoming interviews (peak month in Nov).... if we can get offers from famous / good kinders (also in Kln Tong) first, I will definitely give up York.

我個仔是大仔來架在10月2號IN架,,,今日收到信但唔收...不過我都知一定唔收因為我從未見過個仔表現咁差架....仲要同個老師搶條"毛毛魚".....可能阿仔都知自已在呢間學校都讀唔來架.....

Maybe, yr son did not like York so he performed badly. Anyway, there are many other choices and kinders, good luck to u..... add oil !!

真不明解何以筆者會作出此言論，請問你子女是否曾經就讀YORK，有一些不快經歷？
我作為一個現任YORK學生的家長，願聞其詳！
不然的話，這麼言論真的對所有YORK的學生、家長、教師及一衆職員頗不公道！
明白校長之前的一些言論及建議方案頗為令人失望！但有關亂收費用一項，作為用家的我；除卻當曰註冊時要支付的雜費外；有關課外活動，小囡統統沒有參加。但沒有什麼異樣！
因此再次懇請其他只是道聽途說的筆者下筆前請多作引證。免得再傷害現就讀學生、家長及教職員。謝！
以上純為本人感受，不喜勿插！

Yes,I also think their existing mangement need to be improved, however, my daughters really learnt a lot from Oct 5 until now according to english,she can create own sentances.e.g, The cat sitting on the dry leaves. She just two-years-old, that really impress me, before she know many words,but not yet create sentances. And also when she go home can sing some new songs that I haven't teach her,of course, it is not so clear. For me, in english aspect, I am no doubt they can able to teach my children. Just not sure other aspects.

Well.... i understand your situation. U may simply let yr son to try the class from Feb 2011 till summer. If u have not better offer or u feel York's teaching is good, then u may keep your son studying there. If u shift to another better sch, then u only wastes the uniform & book expenses.

多謝祝福...我仔是0801年申請明年K1...個個人都會話YORK一定會收我個仔...但都唔知點解佢個日好反常...所以反而佢地咁都少我仲驚....

所以，為何要INTERVIEW我哋班細囝呢? 就算我哋係後備，都要發一封waiting list既信吖，點可以好似冇咗回事。遲d還有主流班既interview，我還未決定去唔去。

I also received call from York for an offer of "Head Start" class of local stream for my son today. The teacher said they only have 1 class (max. 25 students) and this class is mainly for "Big B" who can start the class in early 2011. Basically, they will under the same class for the coming 3.5 yrs and they expected to teach more for this class as they think Big B has potential to learn more.......

Actually, my son's performance is not good, I think he got offer is totally because he is a big b.....

Anyone heard from York how and when the debenture is to be paid ?

Refer to previous advice here at BK, is it no more debenture but with some other sorts of payment instead ?

For me, I am still waiting for the result (interviewed on Sept 25, international stream, small B) ....

My girl also got accepted section Bilingual Multiple Intelligence AM class. I called school to confirm she 's in AM or PM, so you can check too.

我可以答你, 因為已經問左, 我咪問而家int'l waitlist, 咁如果收埋應該唔使俾660既, 佢今日覆我的時候, 問左幾次佢都迴避, 冇正面答, 剩係講左幾次, 機會好低, 咁我話waitlist = reject, 佢話係, 因為開得少, 又要留位俾n 班直上

I haven't received any letter yet! When i called York this morning, the staff told me that she couldn't find my girl's name.....that means no offer!!!!

Who said they never reject the application?????

I called yesterday but the staff did not intend to check for me...just asked me to wait in these few days. I am a bit nervous as I am also afraid of being rejected with no offer..... so no letter being sent to me yet :(

I called Miss Fung this morning regarding the Reg. Fee and other class arrangement matters. All the answers are unknown and not sure. They just give me a feel that they are targeting on the $660 Reg. Fee because no matter I asked, she asked me to give the $660 first.

Originally, I think I will deposit first for paying safe. After the call, I really think that they are really targeting on money only!!!!!!!!

Quite disappointed from all the calls from York!

Snack (optional) : $1,900 / terms (i.e.$ 3,800 / yr)
Sundry exp : $ 1,8xx (1st term) & $ 4xx (2nd term)

依家唔使比debenture，所以這些雜費我是可以接受的。

但是，"慕道班"單嘢還未完結，好希望校方可以處理得妥妥當當，可以令我哋既小朋友安心上學去。其實我也好茅盾，一方面好buy YORK既英文教學，校園環境又好，小朋友入到真係好開心，至於學費又唔係真係貴過其他KINDER好多，我又覺得OK喎，但無LA LA有醜聞傳出的確令準家長有點擔心。

york比o佐個咁好offer我個仔(國際班a.m.); 如果有其他九龍塘kinder收就真係傷腦筋啦; o個日入去交留位費, 見到幾班小鴨仔開開心心上課, 井井有條... 個校舍又大又新, 真係好想亞仔做其中一分子, 仲有佢o地套冬季PE衫好型ar...

我囝囝都係國際班，不過係PM，但係我已經好滿足，因為佢係9月細囝，面試當日阿囝表現都幾好，唔怕羞，又肯講。但係如果出去和大囝爭名校，都名知機會少之又少，所以我都好開心地交了YORK的留位費，只希望校方好好處理今次慕道事件，不要辜負我哋一班黙黙支持他們的家長。

我覺得HK$4,200 per month，英文好，唔使再返出面既英文playgroup，條數"係"返到，反而多d時間參加出面其他興趣班。

我今日都去交了註冊費.
雖然我in 國際班,他們offer咗主流am俾我.

但我都好開心,因囝囝是11月的細囝,到現在還未夠2years,in嘅時候都是22個月.我知08出生率好高,清楚知道很多學校都寧願收大唔收細,甚至有些說明只會接受08年8月前出生的小朋友.我沒有埋怨這些學校因我清楚地知道當然大囝比較易教.但其實有好多細囝都是很叻很醒的.

我好Buy York能夠教導小朋友有出色嘅英語,但唔Buy佢地混亂嘅Policy.除咗Policy之外,再想深一層預備找KG之前,York是我的首位.因我有信心此校能給我囝好的英語環境.
所以衷心希望Mrs Fung能聆聽我們呢班準學生媽咪之心聲.快些解决那些不利損害學校名聲的消息.

有很多人常說York好易入大把位,俾錢就得. Ha Ha我願意俾架但我想入的國際班無位呀!!唔喺肯俾就有位,唔通york唔會有班數限制咩??

P.S. 我今日都見到班鴨仔在Playground玩,他們很開心ar!
我聽到他們玩嘅時候同問老師問題時全程都在說英語

I don't think is easy to change from Biligual class to Int'l class, my babies are the existing PN students and also wait for the Int'l class result, as I know most of us are applying Int'l class and seldom to apply Biligual class. 15 Nov will know the result. There are 180 PN students to fight for the 175 K1 seats, of course,less then 175 seats can distribute to the existing students. the Principle said 1/3 will let the outside applicants to study on Int'l,the result will reserve PN students.

My son was sick on interview day in early Oct. We went for interview 2 weeks ago and go the acceptance letter last week for Bilingual AM class. Still have not pay deposit yet.

People said it is easy to get in York. The interview question is as difficult as other KG.
