我地plan左讀完小學走, 小學內要學好普通話, 因為外國好多中學既外語科已接納普通話(以前只有法文或西班牙文), 咁就可專攻英文.

中小學期間，子女需要父母，父母其實也需要子女。小女不能在父母一起生活，是一生人最大的損失。要子女十八歲前離開父母，子女會覺得好慘，除非他們不愛父母！

係香港讀書真係...............想

見佢成日放學做功課，放假又要補習，根本無時間玩!!!!!!!!!
所以成日係度諗讀完小學就比佢出外讀書，但係把口就好硬，實質內心不知幾................。

我親人個女小三去英國讀書，宜家讀完大學，做左幾年野返來香港搵野做，中文唔適寫所以考唔到政府工，私人公司大把港大學生，點解要請外來，因為有本地經驗緊要。

最非老豆係 Boss，咁樣當然可以唔懂用中文。

琴日, 有個節目定新聞講, 中國有d人到中南美做生意, 生了下一代, 都要送番d小朋友回鄉學中文. 15歲男仔要上一年級的中文. 中文都幾重要啦. 但, 最重要係有父母在身邊, 時刻提點佢地人生道理, 處事方法.

If we want our kids to be localised there i.e. "native-speaking" english, oversea friendship and networks... it is good to go as early as possible.. around 10-12 yrs old...

Most importantly... it have better chance to enter to top University there for "local" students from middle school --> high school--> college...

My aunt case is a good reference:
their family went NY (immigration) around 1x yrs ago.. they lived in public house and 3 kids studied in "normal" primary school in HK.

With good effort, all kids graudated from Cornell, Columbia U etc... one of the daughter is going to marry a Stanford doctoral graduate...

To send your very young kids to overseas....unless you want them to work at overseas after they graduated from University, if not they may have difficulty in finding jobs in HK if their Chinese reading & writing is not good.

It could image in 20 years later (when they graduated) that China will be even stronger than now, if do not have good Chinese to communicate / work with Mainland China, lots of opportunity would be lost.

After 3rd year of Secondary School is more appropriate to send them to overseas. Also, kids grow up without parents around is a BIG BIG regret in their as well as your life.

小學就太早了, 我應該會係阿仔中三的時候送他到外國升學, 不過都要看他的意願, 如果他想留在HK, 我都冇得逼佢. 我自己就16歲去外國讀書.

In our family, it's a joke to send him to UK. We use that to discipline him.

He loves us and HK..... May be for postgraduate.

In the next few decades, Chinese is much more important than English.
