請問有冇媽咪收唔到第一批offer letter...而現階段收到取錄通知信 (所為的第二階段).....請報料...謝謝！

me too. I just called WKF School with a reply that you may call to school if you don't rec'd any letter at the end of October. I'm afraid I need to wait until the end of this month. so nervous and helpless.

I called the school before and they said the letter will be delivery until end of November....... One more month to wait............I will become a crazy women

我都忍唔住arm arm打去再問清楚, 因為佢地實在太唔清淅, 我以前打去又10月中會出晒信, 而家又聽到你地問... 一時又10尾, 一時又11月尾

佢arm arm既答覆話由於人數太多, 佢地要分批出信, 我話我知已經有小朋友有offer, 咁我地未收到信的仲會唔會有offer, 佢話有, 但唔sure係咪一定會有, 我再問, 係咪要等d唔去reg淨番幾多, 先知我地有冇offer, 佢話唔係咁計wor... 佢話, 總之人數太多, 佢地要分批出信, 分批reg..... 唉, 佢既答覆好難令我信服(但都可以理解)... 我始終都覺得佢地係睇下仲有冇位淨....

最後佢都係話總之10底會再出信, 到時都係一批批出, 算la, 除左等, 都冇野可以做

其實我頭先都想講, 其他學校都幾千人報名咪一樣可以一次過出信, 仲可以講明幾月幾日出tim.... 唉.... 算la... 無計...

依間學校太protect 自己, 怕一次過出晒, 好多人唔接受個offer, 就要一個個打電話去問人register or not, 行政就亂同辛苦. 因為佢地都知道自己唔係一間主流o既dss.
依個係我個人意見, 不喜勿插.

是的, 基本上各有各arm, 學校protect自己是對的, 家長們心急亦是對的... 只係我地當局者迷吧....

BTW, WKF 都係一間好o既學校, 學生都好有禮貌, 環境好好, 小朋友讀得都好開心o既.

I got the offer letter today. The letter says we have to fax reply by today!!! Register before next Monday 25/10.
I'm more than happy to get the offer.

Why did you only apply for one school? You should have applied for more. The application form submission date for Alliance Primary School Kowloon Tong is next Monday and Tuesday. Do you want to apply for that one? I have the PFD file for the application form if you need it.

WKF好近我媽咪屋企可以方便接囡囡返學放學.....同時我媽咪又要take care我個細仔.....that's why我淨係考咗呢一間...

其他比較好的私校或直資都要搭好遠車...

My son has an re-assessment in early Oct. but I have no 2nd interview on parents. Then he got the ofer in this batch, i.e. 2nd batch. I live outside Shatin.

one interview only, not the same kindergarten, live outside Shatin.

My son also got the offer letter yesterday, and need to reply on 25/10.

Still cannot make dicision yet as we don't know this school very much. All we know about this school is

(1) their campus is fantastic,
(2) the location is good for us (We live in MOS)
(3) the school fee is a bit expensive
(4) we have to give up the lucky draw

Can anyone give us some advice?

Just like you, I have a daughter and a son.

I live in  Mongkok, but also applied for WFK.  I am relying on the school bus.  You can consider letting your daughter take the school bus, then you won't be restricted only to school close to your place.

I haven't got any news from WFK yet.  I like this school because of the language environment.  I like the fact that it uses English and Putonghua to teach its subjects.

But not all people will accept the offer. I think I got it because someone gave up first batch. After next Monday, they will send letters again.

Don't give up for those are waiting. I believe the school will send out the letter at different days.

我並無偏低WKF的意思，佢收我個仔，我都會仔細再考慮。

但它的位置，主要住馬山及沙田的人士考慮多D。實左九龍的朋友有得多直資學校選擇、去投考。WKF 好可能是九龍朋友的back up, 註冊住先，有其他學校收就放番個位出來。

非常同意, 出面有咁多choice, WKF主要都係D新界(沙田,MOS)的小朋友想讀, 我朋友個囡都被收了, 佢都REGISTERED左, 佢住青衣的, 佢話WKF係佢最後的選擇, 因為WKF最快先有結果, 所以先攞位做BACK UP. 其他學校一收佢就放棄WKF. 唔明WKF點解要SET沙田,馬鞍山得15%? 係咪想人地登記左唔讀都"LAM"左8佰幾蚊登記費先. 同埋佢個報告費都貴過人收$100. 男拔都係$50咋. 年年咁收都幾禾味....

What I heard is that's not the decision of the school, but was pushed by the government:
因政府唔想殺校, 而沙田區是重災區, 有些直資好像王錦輝只准收15%

最初係有D津校知沙田會起Lee間直資，驚受影响殺校，搵議員幫，政府被迫規定WKF收沙田15%，才通過批地建校。吾好講到人地謀你$800登記費咁難聽，$800登記費係開學後會全數回番比讀緊的學生嘅，同埋你情我願，無人迫架喎！

My son is the kind that can't be kept long sitting there to do homework. The workload of WKF is low. At most 4 to 5 hw everyday as he is in Grade 5. Chinese dictation

nly once since this year. Eng dictation: none so far. Maths quiz: 2 times as of today. Minimal hw like simply copying, mainly analysing and discussion works.

Lots of activities to join in school. Quite a number of group projects but mostly done during school hours. Limited workload to bring home.

Eng. as main teaching media in Eng / Maths / Music / PE / Visual Arts etc. PTH for Chinese. Cantonese for Liberal Arts.

Horizon broadened with knowldeges associated with our society but not limited to those on books.

In general, it fits the style of my son and this is the most important.
