Tinkerbell is a good school, teachers are very nice to children. But not much chinese students, most of them are Japanese. Students have fun during the school time. Just to consider is the school fees, coz is rising up every year, and I really don't know how much they cost now. If you wanna know more about this school, please feel free to contact.

I have called the school yesterday
and the lady told me that the school fee is HK$3200 this year.
This price is reasonable.
As KCIS need to have interview start form this year, I would like to know whether the kid can learn English in this school since you said most of them are Japanese

Yes, 100% the students can learn English, coz most of the Japanese students have to speak English too. Ms Wong should be the one who will walk around the school with you, she is a nice lady and she will answer you many things you would like to know.

Before, some students study for Nursery and go to local kindergarten for K1, some of them went to 靈糧堂, St. Paul, but some of them will continue in Tinkerbell until they finish their K3. It will be ok and children can catch up very fast, don't worry about it! Emily teach Chinese and Mandarin for local students, even just a few kids, she will pick those few kids to another classroom for chinese classes. Emily is a really nice lady!

Tinkerbell School have a lots of outing, but not all outing for N class. They will go supermarket, beach, post office...etc. As I remember, some of the outing have to pay!

Dear Quentin,

May I know if your children had studied in Tinkerbell?

So what language do you use with your children?

And do your children speak both Eng and Chi?

What I feel worry is that, I plan to put my child to local kindergarten next year, that means she has to change from Eng environment to Chi environment, I really worry that she had difficulty to catch up Cantonese.

Can you please share?

I'm not Japanese, but I like the school of JIS. My son is in English Section. 100% Tinkerbell will take your girl, they never reject any application. Actually, I'm the one who work in the office there, my duty is to collect application and take care of student's needs, that's why I can tell u more about Tinkerbell and for sure they will accept your girl!

9:30, that's a bit early, 9:45 is much better. Coz if the kid spend too much time in playground before class, they will get tired. But 9:45 should be having a class playing @ playground, your girl might not have much area to play in!

Sorry for late reply. My son spent his great weekend in the hospital becoz of asthma, Just discharge on Sunday and need to take care of him that's why can't go online.

ESF kinder not 100% gets in to primary, but at least you'll get a chance to interview.

i visited the school this morning.  i like the principal very much.  and i appreciate the frequent outing activities they provide.

crystalpui, you seem to have done quite a lot of research.  i want to ask for your comments.  may i ask why you choose tinkerbell over other english-speaking pre-schools.

as far as i know, alison and woodland are in causeway bay too.  but to me, they're quite expensive. that's why i prefer tinkerbell.

NIS I did apply before, but we didn't go for interview coz JIS accepted Quentin already!

btw, do u know anything about how the school runs the "local" curriculum? the principal told me that they have a (perhaps slightly) different curriculum for those who are going to local primary. in fact, among those 10+ N1 children i saw, most were chinese and a few japanese. i felt quite surprised because i was told the majority of tinkerbell children was japanese. perhaps it was a long time ago.

About the curriculum, this is a good question. For chinese students, Emily will take those children to another classroom for chinese class, they follow the local kinder curriculum for chinese class, but please don't expect too much!

K1 仲係考慮中呀 ~ 又想佢中文好, 又想佢英文好真係煩 ~如要中, 英好我唸只有 KCIS, 不過我而家先報名, 應該都太遲喇 ~ ESF 都想讀, 不過中文都係教得唔太多, 而家係簡體字 ~ 其實我好鍾意聖士提反, 不過我唔鍾意三三四 ha.ha.. 所以都係好煩 ~~~
同埋又想揀 IB 既學校, 如果要有 IB 只有 ESF & KCIS

我BB一歲時報都己WAITING 8X,

因為我打去 KCIS 問時, 已排到 2XX+ 又話 BB 出世就可交form 排隊嘛, 咁我覺得報遲一年都應該 ok ~
我個仔都係細 B, 我其實都有d想佢讀遲一年, 其實係 2012 K1 睇邊間收讀住先, 睇下再報 KCIS & ESF
