我諗佢哋係寄晒d信給第一批取錄小朋友....等有人18號放棄後再寄信俾第2批入選小朋友。之後其餘小朋友就會係on waiting list...

I just called the school, they said the result will be delievery batch by batch until end of November. That means no we need to keep checking the mail box daily until we receive the letter. I believe another peak time for letter receive will be after the lucky draw result.

I am a nervous mom too, I think what pho2009 said is that there's already 2 batchs of acceptance letters sent out, 1 batch has to register before 14/10 and 1 batch register before 18/10, so if some batch 1 didn't show up today, the school will have vacancies to send out acceptance letter to batch 3.
Hope you and me shall receive offer very soon

to be honest, i was disappointed on monday night once there's no letter in my mailbox, but i have already stood up again in the next day and asked myself to close the file for the school... however, there is a little bright again this morning to see pho2009's message... ai... disappointed again once you explained...

I dont think they have sent out 2 batches of letters this stage~~ I went to school for registration just now and found that they have 5 pages list and 30+ candidate's name in each page need to sign by us before we get the registration.

I have confidence on my girl, don't want to doubt her for her performance, maybe she was not ready during the interview. But she just got no chance to the so-called reassessment.

This is really hard to wait for something that might not be realize.
These days I have been watching over the mailbox but without any news that makes me already nervous and nearly get crazy. We mother all believed our child is not bad and should be admitted to at least one school, but the result is really disappointing.
What a frustration week.

我同其他媽咪的想法一樣....收唔到取錄通知信並不代表我哋的小朋友差........只係可以話合唔合老師的眼緣......第一個感覺都係好緊要。唔好淨係諗我哋小朋友表現唔好.....
唔好因此失望.....我哋要以我哋的小朋友為榮....佢哋已經好叻起碼自己夠膽行入去面試....一個完全未去過的地方！
有媽咪話registration見到成300多個人名...我就有小小question la....如果send 信出去有300多個.....for example, 只係得100個放棄.....200人register ....咁50個位是否會開多班﹖！我自己唔相囉...
請各位媽咪加油努力。

I am disappointed too. Since I heard the news that WKF have been sent out the letter to the applicants, I checked my mail box everyday. Until now, I still can't rec'd any letter. I also going to mad. I wish i can get the acceptance letter next week. God bless me.

I am in the same situation - waiting for positive feedback from schools. WKF is my target as I have a an elder daughter and a younger son. Yet, I am still waiting. Don't know how many people accepted their offers in the first place, given that there are only 150 places, I'm afraid that my daughter's chance is slim.
I think I have to get prepared for "knocking the door". Anyone had similar experience and had successfully secured a place after "knocking"? Would you mind sharing your experience with nervous mums? That will be greatly appreciated.

It is quite funny that every year when people are awaiting for the results. Someone will start saying something like this. Thank you very much for your information.
I have chosen this school for my child because his cousin is in the same school, Grade 6 last year, and Grade 7 this year. He had a very happy childhood in the primary school life and is enjoying as much as he was in primary. He told us that teachers have a much higher expectation on them when they are in secondary. The discipline in the school is good, the senior grades are friendly, and they have to work much much harder to study. He has convinced me that the school is just the type I want. Happy in primary, and hardworking in secondary.
As for the example mentioned in another thread, the only thing that come to my mind is, no matter which school you are from, 林護 is a very tough school, and you have to work really hard. Student from WKF can enter that school, which is a band 1 school, means that WKF is not bad at all.

I really have no idea about how true it is about the secondary section. If my child has the offer, I surely will consider it seriously as I like the school. Most parents who apply for this school want their children to study happily and willing to learn. I think this is crucial to successful learning.

我覺得間間學校even係brand 1或好出名的名校....間間都有好同唔好的學生......
住在我隔壁的妹妹係WKF讀Grade 7...我有問過佢佢係WKF讀書的情況.....佢話俾我聽佢真係讀得好開心....好enjoy返學.....我覺得妹妹對人包括長輩都有禮貎that's why我楝WKF....雖然還未收到好消息....但係我會繼續等....希望快d收到消息...

其實之前個媽咪的POST講有個WKF小六考 "林護"入左, 我就肯定呢間小學很合適我個小朋友, 因為林護係很多年前已係100%入大學, 而中一INTERVIEW 個人及GROUP INTERVIEW都要, 所以只係讀書勁係唔得, 佢一定要表達說話的能力都要高, 有自信, 係WKF的小學唔係單向式教授, 係可以一起參與及討論, 而且唔係則重學業, 不過我未讀, 只係有朋友的仔女讀緊, 至於WKF中學要2012-2013年先有第一批係自己的學生升上去, 所以依家的WKF中學生係來自四方八面的小學, 所以很難比較, 可能要我個仔讀完小學, 先有第一批自己學生完成12年教育, 所以太長遠......參考唔到啦!

compare各方面....我覺得WKF真係唔差....相信有好多咪媽都會對學校有一定要求....我都係一個有要求的媽咪.....我好信相我自己揀得的一定唔差....

其實選校是適唔適合小朋友及家庭的問題, 因為要計算學費, 路程遠近, 學習教學方式適唔適合自己的小朋友........., 所以要諗唔少野, 其實我都喜歡 "優材", 因為用芬蘭的教學法, 但小一至小三係mongkok, 但小四至小六係tseung kwan o, 所以路程對我唔ok, 我都無考 lu.

其實間間學校都有人鍾意亦會有人唔鍾意，多人放棄唔代表唔適合你個小朋友，好多事應該睇自己，而唔係人哋話作後備自己亦要咁。

This school is actually not bad if you don't compare everything on 'papers and marks' only.
One of the 6 kids that were selected for the 'little astronaut' (It's possible!!) programme this summer was from WKF school. This boy started his p.1 here (not students from other primary sch). So many people are surprised but I think all schools have outstanding kids! This school allows kids to read different books and has a very open-minded learning atmosphere.
If the school fits your kid, it is a good school.
