用過your baby can read既家長, 想問下你地既小朋友幾多歲就懂得閱讀?
有報導又話唔好俾2歲以下既小朋友睇電視, 因為會影響小朋友專注力, 你地既小朋友有呢個問題嗎?

I have miffy's friend at home.. when I hold the card "elephant/turtle/rabbit etc", he can give me the correct animal, even before he can speak the word.
yes.. e.g. in the starter disc, it has cat/sat/pat/rat something like that~
i didnt really look into other phonics system, but my boy can read English word by himself before 2.
it's easy to find some picture+word card in the bookstore.. this is one of the thing we did.. and also whatever words we come across in daily life. we read 基礎漢字500 after 2.

WORK!我個仔睇美國版的...他10個月開始睇,到2年歲半倒已經識哂DVD同書本的英文字,每日睇1次...到宜家3歲他都熟到唔睇啦

我都覺得好work 我阿b 8個月開始睇至歲半左右已經識哂d字 我覺得請識字不是最重要 因為遲早都會識但最重要係好早佢就明白英文是從左讀起，而且也喆識簡單拼音，所以好好，我阿b二歲半未夠已能自己讀ORT Level 1+ 的書，就算自己解唔哂都誥識讀哂

我响一次bb展度, 要求代理俾我睇過 (佢地話平時唔會俾人睇demo架喎~)

我以前都有用教材，your baby can read 係我最鐘意果套，真係有用架！我個女睇住佢，學會好多個英文字。
不過....因為一個好重要的原因，我停左唔用住，因為我要準備幼稚園面試。
做晒資料搜集，所有賣教材的人都原來騙我們！根本咁早就學咁多個英文字，係反而害左小朋友入唔到幼稚園架！
每日你走去同個小朋友講好多的英文字，對住單車講bicycle，對住筆講pencil，拒絕晒一切的中文，爸爸媽媽用d好唔正統的英文同個小朋友溝通。
到面試前，你會選中文面試定英文面試？
中文面試，你個小朋友唔識聽中文。表現比其他人差，同老師溝通都困難。
英文面試，你個小朋友都未必聽得明，因為我地做家長的本身英文都唔好，有d指令我地未試過教個小朋友，小朋友適應唔到。到老師用英文問父母「點解選我地呢間學校呀..？」....我真係唔識答。
baby can read 係咪work，係！絕對係！我個女當時只用左兩星期，就識得十幾個生字，兩個月真係識到四十個不同的字。
但係，抽身一諗，剛滿歲半的女兒，最重要的係大小肌肉的訓練，口語上的溝通能力，說話的安全感和積極性，和不同人的社交能力。....入到好的幼稚園為第一步，第二步才補英文能力準備上小學。
盲目使用教材的媽咪們，請先想清楚小朋友的需要。因為小朋友不會咁合作，你想佢同時學中文和英文係唔肯過你的事！

邊個叫你睇完ybcr之後唔教中文呀? 個代理叫架?!
我個大仔响歲半前完成咗ybcr, 兩歲前問題學中文字
佢考SC/KV 分別用英文同中文面試, 兩間都表明只讀am
兩間都收!
但係後面嗰段好啱
教養一個小朋友, 佢嘅大小肌訓練好重要!
所以蒙特梭利嘅教學法好好, 全面照顧各方面嘅需要之外, 亦鼓勵小朋友探索.. 如果家長以為學好英語就係教好孩子嘅全部, 孩子當然會變成"怪物"啦!
其實就算係glenn doman, 都會話要學多種語言, 數學同百科..

My gal has started using YBCR since the age of 1. Since I had bought it for 8 months, she can already read all those words in the slide books and cards (even simply looking at the pictures only or just looking at the words with spelling only).
It really works as my baby can react those words like "wave" / "clap" when I showed her the card with the words only after she had watched it for two weeks. It really sounded amazing to me as at that moment, my gal still cannot say or read a single word before using YBCR.
As most of the time, my maid and I speak to the kid in English. Now I also face the problem that she cannot say much Cantonese though she may understand a bit. I am also looking for ways to teach her more Chinese. I have to request the teachers to discuss with my baby in Eng at kinder interviews.
But what I am glad is that my gal is very very interested in learning English. Even she enjoys me revising the word cards or Eng dictioinary with pictures for kids with her. She knows many difficult words like panda, giraffe, shark, necklace, ring...... or can say a full sentence like "it is raining....", " it is a sunny day".....
Honestly speaking, I believe YBCR is an effective tool / material to let my gal to start learning Eng ... so she can learn Eng words very quickly now.
Of course, I agree, being a parent, we should teach kids in whatever ways but not just using YBCR. We should also teach her politeness, puzzle (for little muscle and exploration), social skills and so on.

我BB 6個月開始睇YBCR, 宜家17個月已經識哂所有生字, 係見到個生字已經知係乜,你同佢GIRAFFE, 佢就會拎GIRAFFE果張比你, A-Z全部認得哂~同埋身體所有部份都識指,有D識講tim~
唔知關唔關YBCR事, 佢識得如果D字掉轉左會掉番好佢, 識得係由左邊讀起~
我覺得呢套野好好... 因為我個仔可以玩d cards 玩足一日, 基本上佢一整日只係需要呢25張卡~haha
我之前識人大批一齊訂就1500~但係我連agent係邊位我都唔知~淨係負責比錢JA~

而且佢咁平日日睇都得....平過返PLAYGROUP喇!!

My daughter recognised and read the words from Baby can Read since 1.5 - 2years olds. And started on 2 years old, I teaching her the phrase. I brought the cards from taopo. Now she is 2.5 years old, she can read oxford reading tree level 1-3. I highly recommend "the baby can read" that it better start on around 9 months.

My son started to watch when he was 4 months. When he entered the N1, the English native speaker teacher asked me "Do you know your son can read a book?" He really can read the book and the teacher felt very amazing at that time!

Yes, I had the similar experience. The NET realized my boy could read in the interview. The N1 teacher also said my boy could read a whole book. How amazing!

用flash card材料，一定要小心些用，小朋友各方面發展要平衡。語言能力不單只是懂得讀書上的字，也包括怎樣用言語表達感受，事情，可不可以用說話講出整個故事情節，有小朋友到小學先發現語言delay,但小朋友可以讀到所有英文書，也可考到名校，家長也不擦覺！語言學習過程是很重要的，你一句，我一答，發表下意見，溝通一下，識字只是語言一部分，家長請三思！

All the supplier are not the original one. The Book "Your Baby Can Read" is copied from a famous Doctor Called Glenn Doman. He has used his life time to study how to bring up a mental retard children. He found that the method can apply to normal kids, too. He has found out the best way to work with the kids. The design of the flashcards have its purpose. His Son, Dougalus Doman has come to HK several times to share his experience in US. You may find more information by searching "gentle revolution" or Glenn Doman. I studied this theory in Chinese University several years ago. My daughters benefit a lot from this theory. Hope it helps all mothers and fathers to get the right product for their kids.

我個仔冇用過呢套教材, 佢上個月剛五歲, 而家有能力睇一套叫 oxford reading tree all stars top tree stage 10 至 all stars level 12 (約係入門chapter books). 我朋友話大概等於外面一般學校用嘅oxford reading tree level 7左右. 我未睇過所以唔知. 我個小朋友以前係返全普通話學校, 一句英文都冇. 佢嘅phonics全部係我自己教, 冇係外邊學過. 四歲9個月時, 讀完左peter and jane level 12. 佢唔係特別叻, 不過比較聽話同專心, 比我教. 我個大女唔聽我教, 所以學phonics學得好遲. 佢細個時我有比過佢睇YBCR幾個月, 唔係幾得, 停左. 佢六歲半時先睇到入門chapter books, 不過就好鍾意睇, 可以坐係到睇兩個鐘書, 而且好鍾意睇羅馬同埃及文化嘅童書. 我覺得太細嘅小朋友, 除非本身好叻, 就算識讀好多字, 唔代表明白, 好似我個仔, 佢讀得出, 但未必明哂, 亦唔會好似家咁瘋狂睇書. 有d野就算快左, 但係冇理解能力, 都係要等.
