Do you know if there's an English-Japanese kindergarten? I just know there's one in Whampao, but it's quite far from my home. Many thanks!

I am considering them and their locations are very convenient for me. But anyone knows some others?
The one in Whampao (Deborah) is fulll day, am session is English, pm session is Japanese and it's good for me. But just far to go and no school bus to my home.
Thanks!

Kornhill Internation KG has Japanese section, I hear there has lots of Japanese student study there. You call them to check it out. http://www.kornhill-edu.com/jap/news.aspx
Hope can help you!

Teikyo(帝京) is a pure Japanese kindergarten. My son is studying there and there's only 30 mins English class every week.

I once considered to enrol my son into Deborah but at the time there was no school bus to my mom's home. I talked to the teachers there and they have asked the bus company to accomodate my request, though finally we opted for Teikyo. You can try to discuss with the teacher if the bus company can reach your place.

For me, Kornhill Japanese kindergarten is good and close to my home, but it's a pure Japanese school and so my husband disagree.
(I asked Kornhill international kindergarten that shares the same building with Kornhill Japanese kindergarten, but they said they has no Japanese teaching)

I just asked them. As I live in the eastern district of Hong Kong island, they are afriad there's traffic jam
at the habour tunnel and so they will not consider.
Besides, I know Korhnill, Oscar and Teikyo are pure Japanese schools. For me, they are fine but my husband disagree.
My husband is afraid the kid cannot catch up his schoolwork in primary school if he goes to pure Japanese kindergarten.

I see.
My boy joined the playgroup by "ekimae" at QQ Club before going to kindergarten. The teachers are all Japanese and the teaching is like that in Japanese kindergarten, you may give it a try.

I may go to visit again when students are taking lessons.
At the time I visit, they explain to me: basic medium is English, everyday 20 minutes Mandarin and 20 minutes Japanese.
Some simple and basic homework and I think it's good, not too hard and not too easy.
Students sometimes go out for fun, visiting or performing.
Every Monday and Thursday 2:30-4:00, there are optional hobby classes like football and pianio.
I think the headmaster and the teachers are very nice.
