It's hard if not impossible to guess what the pattern is. All we know is the 1st int period lasts for at least 2 weeks, including weekdays. The rest is purely guesswork.

Yes. I just heard that interview will be arranged for those connection candidates first.
For those non-connection candidates, interview will be made later, regardless they apply on 1st day.

面試日期排前啲，唔代表機會大啲。最後一日見嘅學生，如果合佢地要求，一樣會取錄。記得舊年都有人話1st in見副校長，都入咗去讀。

今年佢地要我地提供三個回郵信封，乜唔係用黎通知1st int, 2nd int和取錄通知嗎？點解2nd int只係會用電話通知o既？
校方的確講過11月中會出信通知取錄，亦會o係11月22日o係網上公佈，所以未收到信仲可以到時上網查，唔駛咁緊張喎。仲有，佢地似乎慣例係各階段都分批出信，唔係一齊出，所以人地收到信先不必等於自己一定收唔到信o既。

你似乎唔太明白，成個面試與及通知嘅過程 !! (其實你可以嘗試找尋一吓，舊年關於 SPCCPS 嘅 topic，相信一定會幫你更清楚、更了解)
2nd in 通知，的確係由學校先打電話通知家長，之後再會有信通知家長，邊日、邊個時間去學校面見校長 (2nd in 主要係 in 家長)，所以有 1st in 嘅小朋友家長，當然係希望可以盡快收到 2nd in 學校通知嘅電話啦，"唔緊張就假喇"，因為收唔到學校嘅電話通知，都幾可肯定自己嘅小朋友冇得 2nd in !! 
因為 2nd in 完，有部份小朋友會收到 "備取生" 嘅信，所以當知道有家長收到取錄信，當然都會希望自己可以盡快收到取錄信啦，所以都係嗰句，"唔緊張就假喇"，要到 last moment 先至上網 check，真係手到震埋，按住個 mouse 都幾乎 click 錯 !!

多謝你提點，小弟獲益良多!
其實，只要他們在申請需知多寫一些面試程序的細節，就可以免卻家長們很多的麻煩和憂慮。
關於搜尋去年的文章，我也看過一些，不過就沒有利用搜尋某一學校的功能，也許我應該用SPCCPS, SPCC和聖保羅男女三個搜尋字串找找看。
題外話，其實"小一選校"這標題的內容多如恆河沙數，直資，私校，自行，大抽獎等 "共冶一爐"，主題數目增加得很快，開了新主題後不到幾小時就被擠到下一頁甚至更後，如果可以將主題細分一下，相信會比較容易閱覽和追蹤，

其實我也有找過去年的文章，不知怎的就是沒有多少關於SPCC的面試模式和內容，連 1st in和2nd int是甚麼時候也好像找不到資料。
小兒中英數和禮貌還可以，不過比較靜，排次序講故事或圖片描述並不是他的強項，真有點擔心他面試時可否得到老師和正/副校長的歡心。

不過我記性麻麻，大致上都係要考考小朋友嘅耐性，佢哋見 interviewer 之前，需要靜靜哋睇書，之後見 interviewer，要向 interviewer 講一講個故仔講咩，答一些一般性嘅問題，另外再加上一些記憶性嘅問題；至於 details 係點 ?? 不如俾 D 時間我去搵一搵 D 舊 topic，然後再通知大家 (或者大家嘗試搜尋一吓也可以)，好唔好 ??

我老婆日日問住我信箱有無信，話想早d告定假，因為佢要幾個禮拜前約定d客，太遲好難安排。最弊就係學校無一定o既面試日期規律(雖然話有關係o既人面試先，但又有例外)，公佈的面試期間又太闊，真係好難預。
假設校方俾兩星期通知，都要10月3號o個個禮拜面試，希望唔好撞期，因為我地10月7號到10號日日都有interview。

所謂精心安排和佈局，其實牽涉大量資料搜集，包括到處問其他人，不止一次打電話去學校問，參考去年經驗，等等。遇上一些面試安排透明度低的學校，都會很焦急想快點知道。

the interview process did not change much in the last three years after the school moved to her new campus. There was always a very long post on SPCC interview progress every year around the same period. The info. is very helpful.
In particular check the one for acemdamic year 2009-2010. The post started around Sept 2008 and ended around Dec 2008. You will understand the whole progress much better.

短袖恤衫連領呔+西褲+黑皮鞋會不會太隆重？我有個朋友，佢個小朋友係咁樣著，結果舊年入到。

i don't think tie is necessay. Smart casual, simple, clean and tidy are enough. I would suggest lgiht colour colour as it looks more energetic on the kids.

Not necessary...I submitted the form on 7 Sep but haven't received the interview letter...my friend submitted later than me and will be interviewed on 29 Sep.

don't worry lah if no notice yet. don't think early interviews indicate higher chance.

十萬個唔該晒! 希望無花你太多時間搵番呢d文章出黎。難怪有一位家長話你一出手就要睇實，原來係真o既。:) 頭先我一口氣睇晒1st in同2nd in部份，有得2nd in再睇埋其他。
坦白講，我只係抱平常心去報，小兒各方面都係中游分子，更同學校完全無關係，但真係好鍾意佢地o既辦學理念同學生o既質素(成績/品行)，小兒都算係幾定，只盼他在面試時有超水準表現，令佢可以o係個相信好o岩佢o既環境讀書學習。

1. 不一定是見校長，有機會是見副校長 !!
2. 以我為例，舊年囡囡 1st in，只有媽咪陪同，我沒有請假陪囡囡；2nd in 就有請假，一家三口面見校長 !!

KTS & DBS's interview will be held on 8/10 & 9/10.
We will receive those letters at the end of this month.

雖然太座已作最壞打算 (最忙的日子請假)，但她仍然不斷禱告可以將令其他同事的不便減到最低。我們報了8間直資/私小，早前左閃右避1st in撞期已經好頭痛...

睇番舊年o既文章，今年面試安排好似略有不同，舊年有人遲到10月至收到1st in通知，但今年學校話今個禮拜出晒信。

No worries, 'cos no matter whether there'll be any clash of interviews with other schools, just leave it to God. You know, His plan is the best for your family.
Remember to pray earnestly with your wife andcast your cares upon Jesus.

I'm sorry I don't have any religious belief, but thanks for your advice anyway.
I do believe the God of all religions reward those who try and do their best.
Apart from wishing the best for my son, I also wish the best for all candidates in being successful on selecting the most suitable primary schools.

Oops, I thought yours was a Christian family b'cos you mentioned in an earlier posting that your wife had been praying hard to avoid the possible clash of school interviews.
Let's hope that we find the most suitable schoolfor our kids. :)

其實學校係無指定 1st in 要兩個家長帶小朋友去 (甚至乎 2nd in 都係)，不過我自己就 1st in 冇去，2nd in 就一家三口一齊去面見校長 !!
至於面試時間，據我所知，真正見 interviewer 嘅時間唔會太長，但係因為小朋友需要等 (冇家長陪同)，所以小朋友冇耐性的話，確實會有些少問題 !!
2nd in 嘅時間就各有不同，真係要睇情況；睇番舊年 topic 會清楚好多 !! (我哋 2nd in 係早上第一個 in，所以唔需要等好耐)

校長在簡介會講得好清楚,2nd in一定要父母雙方出席架,但1st in無甘樣講,知道系甘就得喇,最起碼一個帶佢去,唔使兩個同時請假甘慘,因為有d工真系請唔到假.

Latest news from phone enquiry:
1. 1st int notification letters will not be all sent within this week (contrary to the answer obtained earlier in the week by phone).
2. No indication of the latest 1st int date arranged up to now.
3. Parents should call the school if they have not received 1st int notification by 20 Oct.
My wife is increasingly worried about whether the actual interview date will clash with her busiest working days (of which she already has some idea) and I am concerned that it is becoming more likely that it will clash with one of our existing interviews from 7-9 Oct.
I just wonder...application forms have been all been submitted by 10 Sept...with teams separating the application forms on the spot, why are they taking so long in setting the schedule of 1st interviews and sending out the 1st int notifications? It's already the 24th today...
Anxious, nervous, frustrated, aggravated...
