Hi ikebukuro,

I will do the intake on this coming Wednesday. I will join the ABA, but not know which centre is better. I prefer afternoon at around 1:30pm, so my son can go direct after school.

actually, I prefer AP, but they don't have place for the session of 1-3:30pm.

Hi,

My child is taking the ABA in Little Kids Charitable Foundation Limited in Jordan. I strongly recommend this centre to you. My child was diagnosed as speech delay and cannot say any words (even mama, papa) when he is near 3 years old. Someone recommended this centre to me and then I took my child there.

It is amazing that he could start to say "mama, papa, elmo, etc" after joining the center for two weeks only and now, after 9 months there, he was diagnosed as no speech delay (I just let him take a formal speech assessment 2 weeks ago).

想請問家長會prefer導師上門還是自己帶小朋友去中心上堂...另外, 會否prefer導師提供相關教材作課堂訓練??

2個鐘頭夠唔夠﹖係每日2個鐘定係每星期2個鐘﹖可否分享成果﹖

我個仔本來上緊每日3個鐘單對單ABA，每星期5日，原本進步得好快，之後因為開始返幼稚園cut到每星期3日，已明顯見到反應慢咗，加埋幼稚園老師唔懂得處理小兒的問題，直頭係雪上加霜，所以暑假即刻加堂。

我舊公司都係要小朋友上3個鐘, 當然我都可以做3小時, 只不過我唔想個小朋友太攰0即...因為, 許多時我發現如果上3個鐘, 小朋友會太攰, 尤其臨尾的1個鐘, 有d巳支持唔住...ABA係美國傳入, 但美國0既A仔, 佢0地時間表冇香港小朋友排得咁密, 香港0既可能番完s位或正常幼稚園再繼續上訓練...但美國, 佢0地有home training就未必出去番幼稚園, (通常2選1)我也在美國生活過...所以一天學習時間就只係3小時, 然後夜間父母再替他們訓練, 或做點RDI...故此, 如果你小朋友1天冇上其他訓練或課堂, 只上3小時ABA 1:1, 體力及精神上應該可應付...不然, 3小時對他來說, 入太多資訊, 一時間也未必完全消化到...(其實3個鐘對大人來講都有點長, 何況小孩)...唔好意思,我唔係同你唱反調, 請不要誤會, 只是分享, 當然你可以唔buy, 如果上2小時, 頭半小時warm up+revision, 中間1小時教授, 后半小時重溫今日教過0既, 等佢更入腦(當然最好每天都上訓練)...我有些學生, 會早上上2小時, 黃昏又上2小時...分2個時段去入0野...效果都唔錯0架...

當我小朋友3歲半時, 讀了S位差不多1年, 雖然規矩學好了, 自理也比之前好…可惜與此同時亦開始學了許多怪怪的行為, 例尖叫, 打頭等…另外, 認知方面都比較弱(評估說delay年半)…於是上了個別訓練, 現在都上了1年…說話, 理解力及認知都很大進步, 最近學校評估竟然只差半年…我感到十分開心…

正統ABA應該每週上15小時或以上,適合2歲以上確診自閉症或發展遲緩的兒童.以過來人經驗分享,如兒童智能不大弱,每天3小時訓練絕對不長,越早訓練越有效.因時間對自閉兒是十分重要,如果未能大躍進或末能於6歲評詁前追回大部分的落後範疇.那麼上主流小學之路就很難行.

你小朋友好叻喎！吾知你介吾介意告訴我/pm我你小朋友讀那一間s位呢? 因為學校一組教k3課程，有5-8個最大6歲小朋友有這樣水準，間學校一定教得好好，而學生都很有潛能，所以好奇想了解一吓，謝謝！

My son also attend ABA in Cantonese 4 times a week at home ni can c he is improving in these two months so I will not send him to nursery just concentrate on that. I also take him to play group once a week.

Hi, can you kindly email your therapist contact to me? Do yo know whether ABA training is suitable for mild end of Autism Spectrum disorder? Coz when i asked my doctor, she said my daugther may not need this kind of training, ST and OT would be good enough. My another ST said the ABA is a very routine training, the kids answer in a machinary way. But i really want to to give my daughter intensive training, don't want to miss out the golden time (6 years old) She is now 4 years old. Many thanks. much appreciated if you can reply

In my own opinion, ABA is only the starting point. Once the kid can follow instructions, behave well after the training of ABA. We need to step further to help him on understanding more rules and regulations, enhance flexibility, and thinking in a logical way.

i agree with Capricorn2521. ABA is good at a starting point and if ur child is small...n i think ABA suit for all kind of level of ASD kids.
only doing ABA isnt enough for ASD kids.
