Do you think their school bag is very heavy ???

I think all parents specially 1B, should put a bit pressure to the teacher / school.....see what can leave at school (whats the purpose of having a locker !) and what do not need to bring everyday.

I think after six year with this heavy bag, all Good Hope students will only have 4 feet tall.

My daughter also 1B. She had put the Visual Art tools in her desk drawer as instructed by the teacher. At least no need to bring the crayon which is heavy. May be the locker for P1 has no door, so teacher don't allow the pupil leave personal belonging inside the locker after school.

If we have some advise want to communicate with the school can write down on the student handbook and let teacher aware of.

Today the school bus also come late to pick up my daughter after school. My daughter said she get on the bus at 1:43pm and arrive home bus stop at 2:27pm. The travel time is acceptable now, but they need to wait for the bus for a long time on the playground. Already complaint, but I think they can't resolve it not until 20 Sep when primary school resume full day study.

My daughter told me that they all went to the hall to listen Catholic songs singing, so no P.E. class. May someone know more can share. You know we need to collect piece of information from different child and form a complete picture. Hope sooner they can express clearly what they did in school.

Since I'm still in office and I can just try to ask all details over the phone.

May I check with you two more things?

1. She told me no homework for Chinese today and for English - is it only write A to Z? But she didn't mention how many times. Any other homework?

2. Do you know if teacher collected the Math workbook (the thin with light blue cover)? We can't find it from my daughter's school bag.

All of you correct ! As from my daughter.....

1, A-Z three times
2, Draw a happy face of your own in GS
3, Eng. Maths Pg. 5, (PLUS. the thin cover chn maths is with the teacher)
4, English W.S
5, Read the Eng Suplement
6, Design a nice cover pages for your book report folder (record book that your daughter read)
7, They really have a long TV session.... they almost miss the recess and did not have much time for snack... poor girls.

Was the New Magic Eng Book kept by the teacher ?... I could not find it in my gal's school bag , I asked her why and she told me that the teacher kept the book...just want to confirm.

And she told me that they have to bring Gramma book tomorrow.

As for the Magic Eng book, kept in the school, my daughter too, as for others 2...according to the teacher during the orientation day, this three 'magic book' had to bring it everyday.

And I found the Eng W.S 1.1 la.... she finish it at school already thats' why she said no need to do.

Bon_Bon.......you should talk to the teacher/bus......!!! since they only have little bfast and tea.........no good for their health. Lucky that they still have one more week.....till they will have lunch in school.

Already made the complaint to school bus company and other parents also complaint as well. May consider make complaints to school or PTA, but I want to further observe the situation after 20 Sep.

But one more important thing. The heavy's school

Only a week with the school.... both shoulder of my daughter have a "red" marks... because of the heavy school bag, so poor lucky that it is not so painful.

We should do something about it :evil:

My daughter will not join the Speech Festival through GHS la... as when the teacher ask, she did not know what is it and give up... but already join through outside centre.

my daughter loss two of her Chn exercise books.... anyone find it.... !!! so i think loss 'thing' is pretty normal for the first few week...... lucky we update here so i think should be ok.

My daughter said she can only recognise her classmate just sit next to her. During the recess, she used to play with her Kindergarten friends. I told her should play with the classmates of 1B, but she said all classmate run out of the class during recess and she can't recognise them and play with them. I think sooner they can know each other, but this is a big class with more than 4x girls, so it takes time for them to know each other.

Isn't that cruel? I thought Good Hope has some allowance to new P1 students.

It sound horrible.....

First the school bag is so heavy and the teacher did not tell them what should bring and what should left at school. ... then what they tell to write in handbook is a mess, they don;t bother to check... i know they are P1 but at least give them more attention for the first few week....so that they know what to do and on the right track....but then end up - punished...unbelievable.

Yes, very terrible. When I talked to the principal, she seemed very kind. She asked me not to push my daughter too much, give her 3 months to get used to the school. Now it has been less than three weeks, not to mention 3 months and teachers start punishing students.

It is fortunate that my daughter does not have hard feeling, so I tried not to make a big deal out of it.

想問下各位...我搵到一張poetry嘅物體...請問係咪日日都要帶返學?同埋係咪又係黏响手冊架?

Tks. 但係手冊後面已有一張時間表, 一張school shcedule, 同埋又話要黏埋張prayers...依家仲要加多張poetry? 請問你地點黏架呢?我發覺真係好難搵到位再黏呀!

Sorry, 可能我未見到，妳講個張poetry係英文定中文，之前有張唐詩物體係唔需要黏係手冊，file起佢就得。妳講個張係今日收到?

my girl told me the teacher choose 6 students for the English Speech Festival. Is it true? But I have no news for the Cantonese and PTH Speech. Anyone know that?

Yes as what i heard from my daughter, the teacher ask who will want to join the speech festival.... then will read something to text... then later the teacher will choose 6. But Chinese no idea.... Lucky i join outside already because all application closed.

So far as I know, the teach select 6 girls for English speech and Chinese Speech (Can/PTH) has no audition and teacher just ask the class who want to join. If yes, then should approach a teacher (forget whom). However, my daughter didn't approached the teacher so don't know whether the teacher will make selection or not.

Is it U21 stated on the sheet. If yes, this is the one for the English Speech Festival. The training will start from next week.

I think they just need to recite since they wrote down "背" instead of "默" in the handbook...but dunno when they need to recite.
